No, it’s anyone who pulls on the shirt.

I think what you'll find is the majority of the fans of the 70s and 80s were as you say cunts. Now no worse than any other teams fans. Let also not forget that two git stabbed in turkey so who's worse ?

In 1993 I got attacked from behind, completely unprovoked by at least 5/6 Leeds ‘fans’. All grown men, age 30+.
Me and my girlfriend(yes, my girlfriend!) both got punched and thrown on the floor - from behind(yes I’ll say that again) and then one of the horrible cunts then stole her purse which had fallen out of her bag upon landing on the floor.
They then all ran away laughing
To me, Leeds fans are cunts
Please tell me if I’m wrong though mate

Yes. If a white person considers it to be racist, then it is so.
Having said that, as a white person, I'd consider myself on fairly iffy ground, what with the whole x years of slavery thing going on, but...

• #139961
@Pistanator Can't make excuses for that but you'll probably find that most if not all clubs in the top 2 flights have fans like that....
-
• #139962
Everton don't. But Liverpool? They're the worst.
-
• #139963
No Liverpool are sound, Norwegians are a passive bunch
-
• #139964
And the turks? Possibly the worst fans out there. Ones in our village do good kebabs though - but it's the actions of the few which spoil it for the majority. I'm sure if we ever met you wouldn't call me a c**t for being a leeds fan

• #139965
Leeds fan at work, call him a cunt quite freely

Obviously in a friendly way!

I don’t get the fuss. He’s dressed up as Harlem Globetrotter(I believe?)
Why is it racist or offensive?
Whilst the history of clowns goes back hundreds, possibly thousands of years, the 1800's depiction of black slaves and the birth of savage racial stereotypes which still stick today has meant this is still shaky ground. Dressing up doesn't necessarily equal a hate crime but when you still have white kids in the US that dress up as the murdered child Trayvon Martin for fancy dress ['cos laughing at the death of a child is a big fucking laugh] it's not hard to see why most choose to steer clear of the subject matter.
What is interesting to note in the link is how the not a single term was created by blacks including the N word...So when folk ask how come I can't say it, you can remind who created the term in the first place.

dst in reply to @Pistanator
It's based on the way white entertainers historically blacked up to poke fun at what was seen at the time as an inferior race.
Raheem's car park attacker say, "Hai"...

The Premiership needs Leeds back in it. At the very leas tthey utterly loathe Man Utd.

Is this ‘whiteface’ also racist then?
You're drawing a false equivalence. If you can show a history of Africans getting in boats, destroying the culture of the girls being depicted, changing their language, religion, mis-educating them, raping them, tourturing them, committing pedophillia, and forced free labour for nearly 400 years...then yes, you have a point. Otherwise I'm struggling...

• #139973
are everton above liverpool in the league yet ?
-
• #139974
Other people have very eloquently explained why blackface isnt ok but it’s notable that your only point of ‘wahhh but what about whiteface???’, is a terrible film from over a decade ago.
Have a think about it - must be a real big problem 🙄 -
• #139975
So anything deemed racist from over 10yrs ago is OK ‘because that’s how it was back then’
Leeds as a team and club are not ‘horrible’
It’s the majority of their fans who are cunts
