  • That's good to know. Hopefully we won't be sending too many of our opponents to hospital this season if this is the effect it has on the team

  • Could see how this would upset Liverpool players but suspect it might upset Citeh players a little more.

  • I saw that tackle. It wasn't malicious.
Was the Keeper out of the area, it was nasty but I feel like you should be able to go for that. Perhaps the keeper shouldn't have led with his face?

Saying he wasn't injured or miljibg it is wrong.

Also. Last 2 pages are jokes.
20 or so pages ago it was how amazing koeman was going to be.

.sacked after 4 games? Fuck me.

  • Errrrr....Naismith is and was shite. Can't even get on the Norwich bench

  • I suppose 'Mane isn't that kind of player'?

Fuck me, he cut his face off!

Classic Kopite comment I heard this morning was:
"What was he doing going for it with his head in the first place?"

  • Nope. I'm saying it was horrendous the collision but it wasn't malicious or intended. The ball appeared to be the target. Unless that's some weird shitty double bluff only Liverpool players can pull off. It was high but he didn't jump off the ground, he went in around chest high (which is dangerous but he was coming across and not into the player). From memory the keeper does that keeper thing of flapping his arms at that height when challenging for the ball. And his head is lower than a defenders.

This all happens at speed, so slowing it down and looking for evidence of intent is difficult /pointless. The striker is chasing a ball for a goalboud opportunity. The keeper is trying to get to the ball because his defence fucked up. Again.

  • Hang on. I watched it this morning while half asleep and have just gone back to look at a video.

  • "Wasn't mailicious or intended''

Doesn't have to be but was still a red

  • I think the height of his foot justifies the red card.

Let's put it this way, if that was your keeper, you'd be howling for a red card.

  • It's been commonly accepted for ages now that a foot at head height is a red card

It was reckless and dangerous going in high at that speed. He may not have gone for the man but you could say that about plenty of awful tackles that have caused serious injury

Liverpool have even appealed FFS! Honestly, do these cunts ever stop??

  • Watched it again properly.

I'm sticking with no malacious intent.

Didn't realise it was so far out. Both were off the floor.
    Red innit.

Controversy: that could have been shumacher battison. Easily.

Edit: reckless and dangerous? That's professional sport right? They're moving faster and taking more risks. Etc and so on .

  • It was just that: reckless & dangerous

In modern day football, sadly more often than not leads to a red

  • I don't think it was malicious, but was obviously reckless so was clearly a red.
    Edit - agree with pisti

  • So that means the Richie one on Alfie M was also a red. Therefore retrospective ban is in order. Huddersfield impressed again tonight. One defender turning his back and deflection fluke cost them. Spammers looked better with big Andy and if Antonio doesn't get a call up southgate should get a slap. Some silky skills mixed with pace and power tonight.

  • I can't believe anyone is questioning that red card, mental state of affairs...

  • Only Kopites and closet ones*

    *damo

  • If anyone is a closet Kopite on here...

  • every day he curses the fact he was born in the centre circle at goodison

  • screw all the psychology bullshit

heres the real reason citeh beat us

" City spent £215m in the summer transfer market to take the total outlay on their squad to 853m euros (£775m). That is £3m more than the amount spent by Paris St-Germain, who signed Neymar in the summer for a world record £200m.Manchester United, who have spent 784m euros (£712m) on their current squad, are third. "

  • we come in a lowly 8th with only £437mn

  • *holds out begging bowl

  • image from last nights west ham vs huddersfield match

reid got a red card too ..... wait, what

  • The trailing foot off the ground was the reason why this had to be red. Two feet in the air deprives the attacker of any control and so the action become dangerously reckless if not wantonly vicious. Once he had committed, he was going to do damage. Just like a driver texting at 90mph.

  • Stop being disingenuous, Mane's studs were up

  • true dat, we all know leather side of the boot is much softer and less dangerous
