Neymar to PSG
€222m
Football is fucked
-

Maybe clubs will learn that release clauses are a false security. If one of your rivals with money to burn want to activate it there's fuck all you can do (though this may only be in Spain)
Neymar will do great things for PSG (hopefully) he's not going to turn down the big money wages they'll be offering, and PSG weaken a European rival by taking away one of their best players. And barca will do the same as they look to spend big to replace him. -

Er, is there an echo in here?

What's happened to FFP too?

It went down the same pan as Michel Platini's career in UEFA.
-
• #137188
Wasn't the Man City model to sign fake inflated sponsorship deals that are funded discretely by the club owners.
-
• #137189
Some, but was deemed allowable when Qatar did similar with PSG. Not that Platini's son being involved had any bearing obv.

I think it's just the natural evolution of boundaries, Leiceister and kingpower is another dubious deal. At least some football starts this weekend.

Friday evening to be precise.

Everyone ready for the weekend??
-
• #137193
Yes - excited to see what brand of turgid goal-less football we bring on this season.

Conveniently, the Qatari Investment Authority, PSG and UEFA all have offices around the Kleber/Etoile area. All just about within a block or two of each other.

York city have one of their closest games to london at the weekend travelling as far south as telford. The only good thing about falling so low is suddenly being up there as title contenders, it's White rose Vs FC United / Sallford and G Nev et al.
I heard in the pub that Neymar has been given 200Million quid by the Qatari would cup bid to act as an ambassador and that he has bought himself out of his contract.. Hence Barca complain about fair play after feeling like a tourist on las ramblas suddenly missing some prize possession picked from their pocket late at night.

Clapton beat Ilford away 4-1. Good result.

It's off.

Forgot they were playing last night! Went to the first game of the season at Basildon game and they were soundly beaten. Basildon is grim as fuck as well.

La Liga now refusing to allow PSG to buy out Neymar's contract. This is going to drag on forever
-
• #137200
wonder if Neymar's going to walk into the office with one of those comedy super large tournament winners cheques and use that to buy himself out of his contract?
I admire la liga's chutzpah, but don't see how the people around Neymar who are going to get large chunks of money will allow this transfer to fall through, even if Barca improve his contract, it's the pilot fish around him that need to be fed...
All items 50% off!?... clearly they don't subscribe to the Liverpool boom/bust cycle:
