Coman doesn't suit the 4-3-3 formation Anceloti prefers to use - Ribery and Robben move across the line rather than staying wide at all times in Guardiola's 4-1-4-1 formation. If Brandt moves to Bayern then Costa might be available.

Whilst I'm not a Ronaldo fanboy I was reading through his stats this afternoon: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristiano_Ronaldo
395 goals in 386 games, scoring 50+ goals for the past 7 seasons (assuming he scores 50+ this season) he has also assisted 210 times in that period. Nuts.

Youri - you can come play at Arsenal along with Kylian and Naby.

But he's young and can grow into that role, he's got pace to burn and can play a final ball as well. Seems weird that he and Costa have become such bit part players (or so I read)
Heard we were also sniffing around max Meyer from schalke who we put in a cheeky €25m bid at the end of the summer transfer window... -

Ribery has had less injuries this season and so Costa has had fewer minutes because of that - he's still played a decent amount of games - Meyer is much more in the Eriksen mould than Costa.
I don't think Coman will develop as he might if he stays at Bayern - I'd love to see him at Arsenal but that's extremely unlikely

If meyers in the eriksen mound with more pace I'd be excited to see him come on board, eriksen has had his best season for us so far, much more consistent since he's signed his new contract, and I'm alsways surprised by how much he runs despite not being blessed with amazing pace, he's always in the top three when it comes to Kms covered.
But still feel we need someone to compete with him for that creator role, and also so when he's not playing we can still break teams down, he's been extremely durable but like Kane I worry about our ability to break teams down and score goals without him...
I'd love Isco but pretty sure he's not leaving Real Madrid, so maybe Meyer if he becomes available is our back up option.. -

Interesting Europa league semi final line up as well, Lyon, Ajax, Celta Vigo and Utd.
I'm leaning towards a Lyon Ajax final -

Question: would Liverpool take sakho back after his loan spell at palace? Seems like he am matip would be the right answer to the defensive woes Liverpool slip into, interesting article here on him
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/21/mamadou-sakho-interview-liverpool-crystal-palace?CMP=Share_iOSApp_OtherAlso shocked to hear about Ugo, his name came up when talking about the spurs academy as one of the coaches who was doing a great job of preparing the younger players for professional life, and he was a big part of the coaching staff at the academy. Was hoping he'd be one of the next generation of black managers/coaches who'd change that perception of black players not having the "intelligence" to run a club.
Sad day. -

Sad day.
It is. He always seemed a very honest person, one who wouldn't resort to well worn platitudes when talking to the media. He was one hell of a player too, strong and committed. What a terrible loss.

It is terribly sad. Really makes you think that you never know when your time is up when something happens like that to someone who is seemingly so fit and strong. 😢

dicki
hasn't he got criminal convictions
america doesn't allow convicts in do theyjoe.ie/sport/rap-sheet-the-crimes-and-misdemeanours-of-john-terry-28812
ah, sorry, it's terrys family who've got all the convictions
Their constitution probably allows Terry's misdemeanours....
Rumours we're in for Douglas costa, who I would love to see in a Spurs shirt, but doubt Bayern would let him go, despite him wanting a pay rise, and if they did bigger salaries than we could offer would be heading his way...
On a Bayern wingers note, why has ancelotti reverted back to the robben/ribery duo rather than costa/coman? Seems like he doesn't have as much faith in the young uns as guardiola..
