You might be right but who (good) would want to jump ship to come to you in the summer?
Is Xia going to stump up the big £££ to build a competitive squad?I think Newcastle will be a very tough game. Good Monday night fixture for the semi neutral...

Plenty of managers will take it to have a wage for a few months before the eventual sacking and payoff.
I hear most of them are quite keen on money. Especially those out of work.

I did qualify it as 'good' managers though - as in people who will be good at the job and not just go there to get sacked.

Almost thought the headline "Mark Clattenburg: Premier League official quits to take up job in Saudi Arabia" was an early April Fools.

Just came on here to post that.
So the biggest Liverpool fan and bentest ref since Graham 'Liver' Poll is finally fucking off for more money...ironic really

Wenger to announce his retirement today... Taps nose
-
• #134259
I don't think he will, and I don't think he should.
Let him lead Arsenal to yet another top-4 finish and then remind the fans of that, rather than leaving on a low point.
Since he's been manager, Man City have been relegated to the third tier and come back up, and every other 'big' club has shat the bed at least once and had a catastrophic season - Spurs had Tim Sherwood in charge FFS. A few years into Wenger's reign, Leeds United were Champions league semi-finalists.
Granted Arsenal haven't come close to winning the CL or the league in recent years, and I can see why the fans are getting restless, but the consistency at Arsenal is unbelievable. Even if it is consistently just below expectations, that's better than the odd spectacular failure everyone else has had.

But an absolute failure to sign a decent DCM
I thought he finally signed Xhaka for that role? Who turned out to be more expensive than Kante. But according to Wenger Kante went to Chelsea for the money.

Someone I was reading the other day made the point that no other top tier team was in for Xhaka, yet still they paid €30 million for him.
Wenger's signings have been getting worse and worse as he's aged.

We bought Idrissa Gueye from Villa for £7.5m and had the 2nd best Prem stats after Kante
He's proving to be our player of the season so far, also currently made the most tackles of any Prem player and that's even with a month in the AFCoN

Fucking hell Lincoln!

Fucking hell Burnley. Not enough creativity to break them down. We don't have many creative players at the best of times and they were injured/banned/cup tied, need to take a lesson from that. And shit defending for the goal.
Bugger.

Fantastic achievement
Tuchel looks like he will be available in the summer, he definitely gives the impression that he's not happy too. He would be a great fit at Arsenal.
