Oh hai!
I think the championship is shit. Which makes it all the worse that we look like a comfortable mid-table championship side. I can't believe we're back to playing Bunn in goal but the major problem is no midfield. Our hundreds of forwards are never going to start scoring if they don't get any consistent service and the defence is always going to be under pressure with no protection. I thought Westwood would have found his level but it's embarrassing seeing him and Gardner together.
Cardiff was particularly grim, but the ref let Grealish get kicked off the park which didn't help.
I'm not sure Lansbury is the answer...Hourihane maybe - but need bodies there.Seriously thought we'd be in Newcastle's position now, but RDM's spending was so badly balanced we're playing catch up. Even if we make the play-offs I shudder to think how bad it would be back in the PL. Expect Spurs to put at least 4 past us.
You're right that the attendances are amazing - 41k+ on Boxing Day against Burton is huge and the away support is fantastic. Wish they had something better to enjoy.

Yeah the support is amazing but i doubt it will be the same for another season in the Championship. We went up for the Burton and Leeds games and it was great, we played pretty poorly both games and the Cardiff game was a joke. We all know what we need in midfield but i cant personally put my finger on the exact player/players.
I think if we went up this year through the playoffs and came back down we would lose a lot of players and would be in a worse position.
Its a shame we had such a bad start to the season, wish we could have had fat head from the off.
Glad to know there is another Villa fan on here to vent too. -

Waiting for Jordan Rhodes to go to villa. Although as it wasn't a swap deal, i'm guessing Jordan said no.

Newcastle get 52,000 week in and week out at home. There were 6,924 away fans at Blackburn on Monday. Villa got nuttin.

There is no denying that. You lot are providing the goods on the field though, we aren't. I'm amazed that so many Villa fans turn out to watch dross week in week out. Also away attendance is soley based on how many seats the club are willing to let you have. There were thousands of empty seats at Cardiff and Villa have sold out every away game of the season. Home attendance is a different topic entirely. Villa fans are very fickle and attendance suffers as a result of poor form, and can your really blame us? I refused to pay to watch us last season, i didn't want that bastard Learner to get a penny of my hard earned. Not to mention that St.James has 10000+ more capacity. Either way two massive clubs in the championship trying to get out, you're just doing it better than us at the moment.

If they play as they have the last two times we have met them, expect Tottenham to come out of the starting gate very fired up, rushing everywhere and kicking four shades of whatsit out of every Chelsea player and then after about 30 minutes calm down and have a lull. The second half will also start with a frenzied burst of energy but then calm down.
Probably too much glucose and a sugar rush.

Come on Tottenham. Time to step up.

• #133264
currently all over chelsea, famous last words probably.
No keepers had to make a save, but it's been pretty competitive, chelsea look threatening on the break, and we've had most of the possession. -

Get in!!!
Great headed goal by Dele... -

Chelseas to lose

• #133267
Woke up to that goal going in... What have I missed?

Conte will be giving them a rollocking at half time after that. Spurs almost concede immediately after scoring and bit worried about dembele and alli on a yellow now. If we concede in the first 15mins of the 2nd then the record is chelsea's. Pooch should be calling them all out as the chokers they are right now
