Yes! Good to keep the pressure on Chelsea. Everton offered very little going forward

we showed a bit of character there
good to see us win ugly once in a while -

Does the fact that Mike Dean saw the situation and only gave a yellow mean that Barkley can't be given a suspension afterwards?

I didn't even watch the game, really can't be arsed any more but from reading the match reports we are still absolutely fucking clueless, Barkley is never going to live up the the hype and we simply have too many average/shit players

Not important in a derby. That's 20 odd league derby games without a win for them

I listened to it on the radio. By all accounts the first half was dire from both sides. We put some good spells of pressure on in the second half. A draw would appear to be a fairer result but for a bit of luck and a defensive mess up at the end. Oh well, I'm just glad it wasn't 4-0 or so. Given the way both sides are playing.

Interesting statistical probablitiy analysis in the FT today gives Liverpool a 68% chance of finishing in the top two. Arsenal are given a 17% chance while Tottenham are 34%

I want to join in the 'it's Liverpool's to lose' joke but I literally can't think of one thing to suggest that they have the advantage.

We've got a new manager, the squad is mostly unchanged from last season. Whereas Liverpool have been with the same manager for more than 15 months. They've also made further significant upgrades to their squad.
City's to lose, LFC 2nd and hopefully Chelsea can get a top 4 spot ahead of Utd, Arsenal or Spuds.
Libpool still on target for the title...
