I've sources at the FA and the punishment is set to be pretty severe from what they've said.
It seems they're going to extend his contract for an additional two years.

Really hoping this is enough to see Allardyce go. Actual corruption, what is the England manager selling himself as an ‘advisor’ for anyway? He clearly can’t help himself. Do not want.
Would then like to see Eddie Howe get a shot. Sad times when the pickings are so slim, but I think with Eddie Howe you at least have the potential that he could do something exciting.
He’s really impressive; he’s taken a small unfashionable team up and kept them in the prem, whilst playing good football (similar to what Liverpool, Spurs and Man City are playing, who will provide the vast majority of the England team) and doing it all with good humour whilst speaking well. I’d feel happy for him to represent England and I feel he’d do it well. Yeah, he may well struggle with pressure and fluff the next world cup, but then that’s hardly a new unprecedented low. And there’s the chance, at least the chance, with him that it could go well. He might pick the right players, get us playing proper modern football and then we could play to our level at the world cup, which would be a QF. And that would be a huge improvement on recent times.
You know what you're getting with fat sam or Pards. Throw-back, robust, conservative football with big men up front and tricky wingers and three lions and blah blah blah. Ignoring the fact that none of our top teams play like this and it's going to be hard to fit them into that sort of system.
But, blatantly, he'll get off with a slapped wrist and lead us joylessly into another dismal world cup.

I can understand (and agree with) the desire to have an English manager. But when one option is a cartoon dog whose career high was losing a Europa League final with Fulham and the other potentially the best young manager in the world you'd think they might reconsider...

Three cheers for the suits at the FA!

The FA? Making informed, considered decisions?

Pearson suspended by Derby.

“Derby County can confirm that manager Nigel Pearson will not be carrying out his duties at tonight’s game at the request of the club.
“Assistant manager Chris Powell will take charge of the team for this evening’s Sky Bet Championship match at Cardiff City. The club will make no further comment at this time.”

I like Powell but I don't think he can solve Derby's problems. Once again the East Mids proves itself as a Football wasteland (excluding Leicester obviously).

Sent home by the Chairman, he's been pondering sacking him for two days and seems to have come to a decision.

All part of big Sam's plan, England was a fuck up. He's coming to Derby.
Has he gone yet?
