Is it a cock up though? Did he profess his innocence? Why did Liverpool suspend him pending the outcome of the enquiry? It all sounds a bit fishy to me. If he is a drug cheat then he needs to be banned. Was there lack of evidence?

Re Sakho - it'd be funny if you weren't serious about it.

• #129429
Too subtle.

Currently looking forward to @Pistanator's other prognostications doing as well as the Sakho sacked one..

The centre-back would have been forgiven for sunning himself on some tropical island this summer, aware that his France team-mates were competing at Euro 2016 and he was omitted due to UEFA’s blunder regarding his doping allegation.
But he chose to spend his time off in Africa doing various charity work with his wife, despite the doping case hanging over his head…
It turns out the substance he ingested, a fat burner, isn’t even on WADA’s banned list, and the case has been closed. Why it took so long to reveal Sakho’s fate, we do not yet know.quote from empire of the kop

Witsel was all agreed with both clubs and agent then he's now said he wants to play in Serie A but Napoli can't afford him and his terms.
So if he's not keen on coming I'd say fuck him off and move on.
Mata is still ongoing I believe -

I was pretty surprised to see Victor Valdes sign for boro. I would have thought more established prem teams would have been in for him.

Now the euros are over its all about the rumour mill....
Supposedly we're in for Goetze for £20m and winajldum for £25m.
If we didn't want to pay £25m for berahino, why do Newcastle think we're going to pay the same for the erratic Dutch winger?
Would love Goetze, even though he hasn't progressed as much at Bayern as I thought he would, but if he had progressed, we wouldn't be in with a chance of signing him. Also don't believe we'll actually sign him. -

Because Mike Ashley's a mentalist and the people around him are deluded fools.
-

I have no idea if we've actually bid or are just sounding out the possibilities but seeing as he cost what £13m and they want to double their money on a player that's costing them loads in wages and supposedly doesn't want to play in the championship you'd have thought they'd have taken a more pragmatic view...
Apart from putting him in my fantasy team and him flattering to deceive I'm wondering if he's much better than what we have and what extra dimension he would bring to the team/squad.. -

Scanning transfers for boro this poped out:
Scotland Under-21 cap McGhee, 19, is poised to spend a season with Boro's development squad after playing 28 times for Hearts last season.
Now we have an good reputation for developing players that helps us get talented players from bigger clubs that we then bring into first team football but it seams weird to bring in a first teamer from another league to play in the development squad. Is the prem development league so much better than the SPL that McGhees development will be better served there or is McGhee so talented that he'll be expected to break into an EPL during the course of the season?

Maybe just a season long trial, his contract is up in a year.
A deal has been agreed between both clubs, which also gives the English Premier League newcomers first option to sign McGhee next summer.

Moussa Sissoko looked great for France last night, and outshone Pogba in an underwhelming side.
There's no way he can stay at Newcastle next year, so where's he going?

Fucking hell, apparently BFS is being interviewed for the England job.
Come back Woy, all is forgiven.

At least with BFS the players will know the system.

The FA as are useless and corrupt as FIFA. Every single member needs to be sacked and we should start again. The rot starts from the very top and spreads down. It's an old boys network and needs dismantling

Starting to sound a bit Farage like there Mike, fine to call for change, but you may want to have a bit of a plan, as to what you want to change to, before burning down the FA.

At some point recently BFS for England manager seemed to stop seeming like a joke and start seeming like a good idea. To me anyway. With the best players from the country available to top him we don't have to play like west ham and bolton do we?
I'd like to see a Britsh manager or at least someone who knows our league well. Plus we all love a good assistant to groom. So the made up choices in my head seem to be:
Hoddle & Waddle
Howe & Harry
BFS & Sammy Lee
Arsene & Terry Henry
Guus & FKWIt would be between Hoddle and BFS for me right now. Strange times.
