  • Newcastle is a big club though.

Drinkwater should be on that squad list.

  • Marco Reus’s absence from Euro 2016 is clearly going to disappoint many, not least Lego, which had included the Dortmund playmaker in its final 23. This will throw quite the spanner in planned brick-by-brick goal reenactments:

    lol

  • Andrea Pirlo and Mario Balotelli both excluded from Italy squad

  • New Cross on match day is wall to wall 5o somethings in Reeboks and Stone Island which really confuses the Goldsmith's students also wearing Reeboks and Stone Island

  • Has Pisti started going to the Den?

  • Forget Engerland and follow the Dragons ffs, Euro 2016 squad:

    Goalkeepers:
    Wayne Hennessey (Crystal Palace),
    Danny Ward (Liverpool),
    Owain Fon Williams (Inverness).

    Defenders:
    Ben Davies (Tottenham Hotspur),
    Neil Taylor (Swansea City),
    Chris Gunter (Reading),
    Ashley Williams (Captain, Swansea),
    James Chester (West Brom),
    Ashley Richards (Fulham),
    James Collins (West Ham).

    Midfielders:
    Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal),
    Joe Ledley (Crystal Palace),
    David Vaughan (Nottingham Forest),
    Joe Allen (Liverpool),
    Jonathan Williams (Crystal Palace),
    George Williams (Fulham),
    Andy King (Leicester),
    Dave Edwards (Wolves).

    Forwards:
    Gareth Bale (Real Madrid),
    Hal Robson-Kanu (Reading),
    Sam Vokes (Burnley),
    Simon Church (MK Dons),
    David Cotterill (Birmingham City)

  • Would we have to wear anoraks all the time and moan about absolutely fucking everything?

  • On the England squad announcement drinkwater should be in in front of wilshire, as he can replace dier in the holding role/ defensive shield, and wilshire to be honest isn't that great at it, but provides (when at full fitness and form) more going forward...
But in terms of where they are at currently drinkwater should be going to France. I probably would have taken Townsend, just as a change of pace attacker off the bench, for all his faults he will run at defenders and win free kicks in dangerous areas..

  • I don't think it would take me too long to adjust.

  • @Ramseye no just fancy sheep

  • I'd take Drinkwater too. If only because he'd enjoy it more. The others (Henderson, Milner, Wilshere) have all had the opportunity to show that they are not quite good enough, only seems fair to allow Drinkwater to prove he isn't either.

    Anyway Euro 2016 thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Drinkwater a major contributor to a title winning team playing over 35 games

Wilshere, injured all season...3 games played!!

    Woy oh Woy...

    🙄🤔

  • Henderson over Drinkwater for fucks sake.

Wilshire being included I'm actually okay with - he can affect a game in a way that very few England players can. When he turns up that is.

How many strikers do we need though?

  • 'Hendo' is

    W A N K

  • I feel bad for Defoe.

15 league goals in a shithouse team that only just missed relegation, surely he'd be a better shot for that classic desperate substitute as we're 1-0 down to Slovakia with 5 minutes to go.

  • He's had plenty of chances over the years and never seems to quite perform when it matters at international level.

    Still a big fan though.

  • Sturridge over Drinkwater was the surprise for me, given the strikeforce we have he seems unnecessary and no-one quite provides what Drinkwater has been providing for Leicester this season. That said it is far from certain how the Leicester players will perform outside the Leicester setup and squad.

A fit Jack walks into any England team, obviously Roy thinks he is fit enough.

  • Sturridge unfit
    'Hendo' unfit
    Wilshere unfit
    Sterling unfit

  • sturridge unfit
    hendo unfit and really shit
    wilshere unfit and shit
    sterling unfit and shit

  • I don't understand taking so many forwards and CM's and only 3 centre backs. I'm guessing he sees Dier as that option should it come to it but seems unnecessarily risky, especially with Hendo, Jack and Dean Sturridge

  • It's so we have ready made excuses to come bottom of the group. We have no chance

  • But if Dier is pushed into service as a centre back, then who takes his role? Milner, Wilshire? Why Drinkwater should have gone, and not Wilshire, and/or Milner..

  • I'll quote this when we win.

    God save the Queen!

  • I hope not. I have £10 on them finishing bottom of the group
