  • That's Watford relegated next season then.

    https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/may/13/watford-part-company-quique-sanchez-flores

    What a completely insane decision.

  • "I came like a king, left like a legend" Another prize tool on his way to the PL.

  • Who said that?

  • Ah of course. I wonder where he'll end up

  • taps nose

  • Zlatan in the prem will be great. I know he's past his prime, but he'll still do amazing tekkers and give good interview.

  • He goes to United if Mourinho gets the job right?

  • I'm not entirely certain that he'll come to us, in all honesty.

In a previous lifetime, we had a history of buying players who were in the sunset years of their careers. A policy implemented by Redknapp that he did quite well with at Portsmouth too.

That said, Pompey look at bit screwed nowadays.

I also gather that 'Arry still hasn't sold his gaff on Sandbanks either. Doesn't really need to now though.

  • Deportivo Palencia's (no, me neither) new kit - strong:

  • Surely that's got to be inspiration for the design team at Rapha?!

  • Cipollini's already been there, done that

  • This.

Except if he signs for United, then they might win stuff. Even worse if Mourinho is in charge. Journalists would have their job done for them, not such a bad thing for Jamie Jackson.

  • A policy implemented by Redknapp that he did quite well with at Portsmouth too.

Isn't that policy one of the reasons he has a history of leaving clubs on the edge of bankruptcy? It looks like good business as you get the player on the cheap but that's because they have no resale value. Then you have to pay exorbitant personal terms as the player and agent know that they are basically earning their pension on the last contract they will ever get.

  • Wondering why Koeman would go to Everton? Know they've currently got an owner whose ready to splash the cash to reinvigorate the squad, but most pundits seem to agree that will be part funded by lukaku and stones leaving for mucho dinero. Koemans already experienced that with Southampton, who have a better recruitment policy and youth system so why go into another rebuilding job at Everton?

Outside of pisti's head are Everton that much bigger than Southampton? Are they a step up for a manager whose doing well at Southampton and is currently above them in the league?

  • On a different manager note, with Flores, and Martinez getting the boot, apart from Eddie Howe, who are the Young British/English coaches who could take the reigns of those two clubs and/or any other club who decide to fire their manager before the silly transfer season starts?

There's some fine coaches coming over from the continent and never has the disparity between the number of German/Spanish/Italian/French coaches who have A licences and the British/English ones been so large.
Every young tactically astute manager who can work on a budget, promote youth, and is on the cusp of winning things seems to be foreign, and the gap between them and their championship peers seems greater than ever.
Which managers from the championship could do a Howe?

  • Your trolling is like your wallet - lightweight!

Everton are a bigger club than Tottenham let alone fucking Southampton!!

  • Sean Dyche, obviously.

  • Here we go - "my club's bigger than your club" etc...

  • Trolling? Moi?
Just asking a question, Southampton have a recruitment and youth system in place which puts pretty much all of the premiership to shame and koeman has used that to replace the players that were sold out from under him. He's in a good place and there's no urgency to go anywhere else and I'm more concerned with how he's going to be able to replace the quality players that are probably going to be sold when that's probably the reason he'd leave Southampton.

Also if your definition of a "BIG" club is that they hold onto their best players despite offers from all comers than Everton certainly ain't one of those, especially if Stones and Lukaku are used to finance the purchasing of new players...

  • Forgot about him, burnley are back up aren't they? And he'll be wiser for the relegation/promotion battle. Yeah he's one to watch..

  • Timmy!!

  • Last trophy Everton won please?

  • Anyway: Jamie Jackson.

There should be a Cox / Wilson discussion on how to stop him.

  • He's done better than Howe looking at the relative budgets, will be interesting to see what happens next year now we've got a bit more cash to spend. He's made it clear a few times that he views Burnley as a stepping stone to bigger things.

Although not exactly young, Chris Hughton has impressed me this season.
