Question, has Sterling been injured, as he's on the bench tonight? And if he's not, how must it feel to be behind Navas in the attacking pecking order...
-

not sure what offends me more Bale's man bun, or City's lack of pressing and closing down, and the laidback way they run back into position, placed against Atletico's hounding of Barcelona and Bayern, makes them almost look like they're running through treacle..

He's been injured for a month and a half.

I reckon it's that dip dye at the end of that man bun that does it for me..
They really are a team full of haircuts. -

What are the rules on deliberate handball again?

• #127682
and on he comes..
YaYa did next to nothing in that match. He's probably first out the door when Guardiola takes charge. Offered nothing apart from a tanker like slow turn and a lumbering into defensive position where he did not much at all..

Depends on the team
-
• #127684
He'd do a job in Serie A.

God I fucking hate this team
-
• #127686
this is as poor a performance from a team in a big game that I've seen for a long time..
City haven't seemed like they've wanted it from the beginning, only started pressing after they went a goal down, and the 11 who are finishing the game, feels like they should have started it (minus Kompany going off) waste of 90mins of my time...

No, he's just highly overrated and a one trick pony
-
• #127689
Oh yes 😁
City were very poor last night. Let's hope Liverpool can lead the way tonight -

On this day 1928, William Ralph 'Dixie' Dean scored a hattrick against Arsenal to take his season total league goals to 60
An English record that still stands to this day

BS,
We all know football wasn't even played before 1992, and Leicester are tied with Blackburn as the 5th most successful team ever.

Nice to find your best performance of the season in your biggest game of the season.
-
• #127693
That went rather well.
Goal clearly made Sturridge very happy, though he didn't look super-sharp. -

I'll be back in the UK for the final, so will probably be wanting to watch it somewhere, if any of you plastics want to come out of the woodwork.
-
• #127695
Can't believe they're hosting the final is Basel...It's fucking tiny. By the time the "football family" have had their fill they'll have 200 tickets left.
Anyway....where's your yellow submarine?

Another Famous European Night At Anfield

Weak troll. Leicester have entertained and found a way to win at the same time with their resources. West brom are a fine example of a team that concedes possession hoping to nick something at the other end and do it with zero panache or style. You can't win the Prem by being ugly. Even Chelsea had their moments.

It is a bit of a shame that but a nice trip to Switzerland is on the cards...
So how different are Atletico and Leicester tactically when facing a technically superior side? And how much of a difference is there in terms of commitment to defence compared say the Chelsea team that won the Cl in 2012.
Also, has Simeone become a master of Mourinho's tactics and improved on that title winning Real Madrid side?
