Come to think of it, I never asked for money for one of those trips.

The average net spend by Liverpool since the formation of the Premier League is £11 million a season. Only Chelsea and Man City have spent more and they are backed by billionaire owners who dip into their own pockets.
You can dress it up how you like but the fat Spanish waiter has spent a lot of money on a load of average players and failed to win the League, which is what he was brought in to do.
Just to give you a bit of contrast, Arsenal's net spend in the same period is £1.8 million a season, and they've won the title 3 times in that period.
Andy, I have never said his spending record was good, however, I have heard a lot of total lies pedalled by bored knobhead, bedwetters in the media. Do these numbers take into account wages? Cos this Arsenal bollox about raising players gets on my tits. they simply offer higher wages than competitors esp at youth levels.
@Clive, I can see what you're doing: that's cold

Please tell me what Arsenal are looking to win next? We won a trophy more recently than they, no?

Wages are not considered in that table. I've yet to find one that shows this too.
You'll not find any disagreement with me on the Arsenal point. Wenger's 'youth project' is a total con. Arsenal's wage bill is comparable to the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea because of the ridiculously high wages that the club pay to teenagers who'll never grace the first team.
Since 2004 how many players have come up through the famed youth system and established themselves in the first team, one? Two? It's a failure.

Arsenal win hearts and minds because of the aesthetically pleasing, tippy-tappy football they play. That's important, not grubby things like trophies.
This was a party political broadcast on behalf of the Arsene Knows party.

Buying 17 year olds from all over the world is not a youth set up. It's a con, just like you said it is.

Barcelona win hearts and minds because of the aesthetically pleasing, tippy-tappy football they play. Most importantly they win things like trophies.

Like Benitez, there is a feeling he maybe destroying a player due to his vanity project in the shape of Walcott. HE IS NOT A WINGER.

Didn't they win the Ladies league or cup or some like?
Chelsea won the Youth Cup because, despite all of Wenger's spin, Chelsea have by far the best youth set up.

Must be a good outside bet. He's always hankered after managing a big club and he wouldn't need to move house.
