Chelsea looking strong again.
Shame.
Palace are just poor though, playing the ball nicely up to the attacking midfield, then either trying to play high balls over a tall, strong back line or putting in poor crosses. Or just running in to players.

I like Goose as well, similar to Ancelotti, Chelsea become slightly harder to hate with him in charge.

Good all round performance today clean sheet 3 goals. The players actually looked like they were enjoying playing a 1st this season

What the hell has Dele Ali got on his leg?!

Been bossing the first twenty mins, and then Everton put it on lukaku's head and Aaron Lennon shows he can produce an end product.
Really interesting the way we're set up when we've got possession dier drops in between Toby and jan and the full backs push on, so we've got five across midfield. Means Eriksen pulling into the midfield doesn't make a difference.

Did Aaron Lennon smile after he scored?

Fuck me that was a great strike by Davies! Denied by the post twice now..

Everton looking much more lively 2nd half, pressuring, and causing some get rid moments or winning it back high up the pitch.
Looks like its taking us a little bit to get upto the new speed of the game as dictated by Everton. -

Cracking second half.
Besic and Deulofeu made a big difference. Not sure why martinez insists on playing Kone when he can't play as a number 10 and offer nothing on the wing.

Nervous at the end, turned into a stormer of a 2nd half, lukaku puta the fear into you whenever he's charging in on goal with the ball at his feet.
Personal gripe, why do so many players midfielders, wingers do that thing of receiving the ball to feet and then knocking it first time back to where it came from. Just fucking turn with the ball there's space behind you, and you can move forward rather than slowing things down and adding extra touches/passes into a situation where you could be breaking quickly...
Not quite sure what Barry and cleverly do in everton's midfield they were below the radar for most of that match. But Everton applied a lot of pressure especially when defoeleu was there as an outlet and besic dropping into midfield seemed to give Barkley even more licence to break forward..
Not sure if that was a point gained or two dropped? Harry looked knackered 2nd half even though he was still pressing and harrying. Son looks a bit off the pace, and eager to impress, touch was heavy, shooting even when it's not on, overlooking the simple pass.

great 2nd half, Deulofeu is exciting to watch & has come off the bench the last few games any reason why he isn't starting ?

He started probably 7-8 of our last 10 games.
Spurs bossed us in the first half, happy to see Martinez change it up and a better second half. Besic did well, he's like 90% of our best players. Looks world class at times, but has a critical mistake in him.

Barry specialises in putting in fouls that are just borderline yellow, and then appealing to the ref to try and get away with them.

Have no idea what this means!

Barry is a collector of yellow cards. He's top of the league now.

It means, that it struck me as a question someone who doesn't play football would ask.
You can't always just turn blindly and attack plus there could be plenty of good reasons why they want to play the ball back. Watching on TV makes the game look very flat, if you play football you'll know how different it is. Also most people on here will be the kind of player that has to watch the ball come to them let alone be aware of what's around them.

Haven't played football since I dislocated my knee way back when doing a Cruyff turn, it's given me grief ever since...
I asked the question as when we do it, it doesn't seem to matter if the player is being pressured or has time on their hands, they don't look over their shoulder even when calling for the ball and then just play it straight back. Was wondering whether it was something they are coached to do, walker, Carroll, eriksen were all guilty of it today. -

Play the way you're facing.
I'd forgotten he was that bad.
