Hello football fans. I am taking a foreign guest to see Fulham vs Reading on Saturday. We're in the home stand. I know nothing about football and have been to about two games before in my life. Any pointers for max enjoyment? Can you drink beer and eat pies? And swirl around those clicky wooden rattles?

Are you in hospitality or in the normal seats?

You can't drink beer anywhere where you can see the pitch. If you want to drink, make sure you get it out of the way before you arrive unless you have hospitality.

I've been in the George Cohen "suite" at Fulham and it's actually pretty nice. Food is good and they have a wide variety of decent alcohol.

I think you're out of luck re: the rattles.

Rattles are still allowed. If it was Chelsum you'd want to take a dummy too as Jose keeps spitting his out.

Six pints beforehand (including one fizzy lager that you have to neck in 10 minutes when you get to the ground), pie during the first half, another fizzy lager that you have to neck in 5 minutes at half time.
