Wait. Were Chelsea in the cup?
Only as long as they wanted to be.
Two free weekends before CL games could prove to be a master stroke as we might be the only English team still in the CL and, with Everton, the only English side in Europe, very soon. Arsenal, Man City, Tottenham and Liverpool have paid the price of trying to win trophies on every front. A more focused approach is certainly working at present.

I lol'd.

Oh. It was a planned exit.
Anyway. I'd like to address a point with you.
About accents and the media.
You say, that at the peak of Liverpool (80s) there were scouse accents galore on the telly. I might agree with that.
Now that it is Chelsea's turn in the ascendency, we have the southern accent everywhere. You put forward Bread as the cultural low. I give you "Made in Chelsea/Essex".

Top lolz, Clive.

I enjoyed "purport to support" - nice to see some original material.
For the record, it's possible to support a club and judge the performances objectively. Moreover, Spurs have spent enough money in the transfer market and in sacking/hiring managers in the last decade that I think fans are entitled to ask "where is this going? Is that a good performance?" rather than rolling out the pleasantries.
So what if I don't post a weekly "I watched the match, we kicked the ball- come on you Spurs" roundup?
If you do bother to take a look back - the players I have been the most openly critical of in this season and last are: Lamela(£30m), Soldado (£24m), Kaboul, Chadli, Ade, Fazio. With the exception of Chadli, who has been great this season I feel I was probably on the money.
This is where I insert a meme saying how much I don't care, despite taking the time to reply - right?

With you on this. Pay a subscription to get in the ballot to pay more money to watch some kicking.

Oh, so that capitulation at home when you were 2 goals up against a League One side was Chelsea contributing to the magic of the cup? Jose is such a romantic.
-
• #115934
A moan. When the fuck did you have to pay a membership to buy a ticket to watch a match?
Since 1996.

Very conveniently, the weekends before our two next CL games are free. No Cup induced fixture congestion at the end of the season when the focus will be on the PL and possibly CL.
If it wasn't planned, it might have been.
"...the southern accent...."
TOWIE is an Estuary accent. MiC is an RP accent, if it can be called an accent as it is actually accentless English. There is no "Southern" accent. Indeed, RP is not bound geographically but by socioeconomic status. RP exists all over the country.

I wouldn't know Clive, all I can hear is this impenetrable screech of "look at my vulgar display of what the fuck ever it is I'm supposed to be displaying to make you feel envious".
-
• #115937
Yeah, fuck this. We should all stop going to football to let them suits know we ain't happy about this. Except Clive obvs, he has already paid for the season.
-
• #115938
There is no "Southern" accent.

So...are any other clubs going to manage to score a goal in the FA Cup this round?
It's like raaaaain on your wedding day.
-
• #115940
Congrats to Danny Welbeck on doubling the number of goals he's scored at Old Trafford.
-
• #115941
Not watched United for ages but see they are still a bunch of moaning, cheating cunts.
Hopefully Arsenal can hold out here -
• #115942
Thankfully your hex only works on Liverpool.
-
• #115943
Yes. We will play them in the next round if we get through I think
-
• #115944
Arsenal players earned their wages tonight.. United were meh
-
• #115946
Well that's good. We get to play Bradford in the final and give them some payback.
-
• #115947
Saido and his agent just, you know, chilling at OT

only saw second half but utd were poor. as poor as we have been all season. really poor. and we deserved to lose.
but we were still not as poor as cliveo making out the bradford capitulation was a master move.
i reckon citeh will win again this year.
top four hard to call. but have a feeling we will scrape it (look at our luck against newcastle) but can't call it between liverpool and arsenal. both have such an exemplary record of wetting the bed
-
• #115949
hahaha - man u - hahaha. Let's hope they finish 6th to top it all off :)

sadly I watched the whole game. There were moments of 'fucking hell we could win this'surrounded by a whole load of meh. Dave kept the scoreline flattering to us. Clueless in defence, static in attack, we were wank. Top 4 if we're lucky, as long as livershite don't get top 4 I'll be happy.
When demand greatly outstripped supply.
