If they want a bottom of the League manager, they should go for Rednapp. Ideal for them.

I daren't look at the table, but can anyone remember the last time we
won a game and are we in the bottom 3 yet?You squeaked through 3-2 against QPR on 19 October.
These international breaks and all this European football is not helping.

I don't think it matters who we get in as we will always be shit.
I think the only way we could ever win the league is to get that cunt from Chelsea in. I imagine he still harbours ambitions of managing a big English club with a decent atmosphere -

I don't think Southampton could afford him.

If he didn't want to go to ManU, I can hardly imagine him wanting to go to Liverpool. Part of his desire to return to Chelsea was for his family and lifestyle. However sophisticated the outer reaches of Merseyside may be, i don't see them comparing favourably with London.
Mourinho is currently at the top of his game which is jolly nice. If we can have ten years of this, we shall all be very happy. After that, we can discuss our "history" ad nauseam. One problem though is that there are probably a lot of people from outside London with no connection with the side and who are unlikely ever to visit more than once or twice in their lives now becoming Chelsea supporters. That is and will be embarrassing. Seen it with other clubs. It's not nice.

Um. He did want to go to ManU. He really really wanted that job. He just didn't get offered it. They're fucking idiots.

So he could still go for the next biggest job in English Club football and become a kopite hero then?

Pretty disappointed by fellow Liverpool fans calling for Rodger's head, he's been a good manager for us & is just going through a bad spell whilst missing his best player.
I would like to see him possibly hire a new defensive coach though, something isn't right there & needs to be addressed.
I also think the players need to be toughened up some how - so many goals this season have been conceded within 30 seconds of one of our players being weak when things get a bit physical. Oddly it's the bigger/older guys that seem to be happy to fall to the floor & Sterling is the only one I can think of this season that's shown any fight to stay on his feet.

Imagine the turnover if he had:
Anderson
Jones
Smalling
Rio
Evra
Vidic
Giggs
Rooney
Valencia
Nani -

He was SAF's anointed successor but turned the job down when Chelsea became available. SAF tried to get him and in the end and at the last moment had to bring in the great David Moyes.

Are you a management consultant? Have a problem, hire more managers to deal with it.

I still can't believe Brenda's hubris wrt that Southampton quote... Incredible...
Shows he hasn't got a fucking clue... Did he really think Liverpool's fortunes wouldn't suffer without Suarez in the squad?

without suarez AND sturridge (SAS foreva) in the squad

No I'm talking about improving the defense through different training rather than sacking the manager that is actually quite good considering the club.
I know I'm probably in the minority here but for me Rodgers is a decent manager & has done a good job considering the mess Liverpool were in but he's never been particularly defensively minded. The lack of goals (due to being without the two best strikers from last season) wouldn't be as much of a problem if the defense weren't shipping soft goals every game.
Should we lose the improved attacking football by sacking the manager & getting someone more defensive in? No, we should keep the good forward play & get someone in to help with the back-line. They're not bad players, they're just making the wrong decisions or plain old mistakes - different training for when the team doesn't have the ball would help Liverpool.

What a load of nonsense. Just a bit of media hair stroking after the tears had been shed.
Honestly, there's deluded... And then there are football supporters; would eat shit it if was the right colour.

The mess Liverpool were in? Hodgson got them to eighth, They are currently 12th with some tough PL games coming up against fellow relegation battlers Stoke, Sunderland and Leicester.
His insistence on playing Stevie Me cost him his only shot at a trophy last year, maybe they could appoint Stevie Me as manager, though I obviously I hope Brendan stays there for a few more years yet.
