Player who took a blow to the head is now seen bleeding from his ear and still on the pitch.

2-2 away at fellow play-off contenders isn't bad. Unbeaten in seven is also good going.
It's only annoying because we were so close. And ahead twice.

i almost posted this on saturday after the game but typed it and deleted
having now read the LFC fans forum I feel more confident posting itgerrard in the number 10 role ? , back to his attacking midfielder role of old
when gerrard was moved forward on saturday after lucas came on he really seemed to change the game, he had so much more influence in the attacking 3rd, it was like the stevie g of the early 2000's ( well nearly )
collecting, beating a man and putting through a decisive accurate through balls
wonder if stevie g can play that role again, quarter back from a position forward of his line guards and tight endsonce can is fit again he could move to that, in front of the defence QB role, his performance for the german U21's ( the game he got injured in ) was sublime as a holding midfielder, he also did the whole box to box thing beautifully in that game too

Gerrard's best role might be impact sub.

From an objective POV - it really seems with Gerrard that Liverpool FC and it's fans are just trying to find a role for him where he won't be too much of a liability - at the expense of the team.
Liverpool already have a number of players who are more suited to the role of number 10, why stifle them on behalf of a player who should be used sparingly anyway (especially given he's not fit). He's not going to be able to play 90mins of 40 games a season any more, so why (other than for sentimental reasons) would you build a team around him?

Because Liverpool are a club whose very bedrock is sentiment, that's why.

Also - poor performance by Spurs this weekend in my opinion.
On the bright side: some better link up play from the front 3/4 and at least Adebayor looked like he knew that football isn't supposed to be played at walking pace. However, we were incredibly lucky not to concede and didn't really deserve 3 points from the game.

You've summed it up well. Saints were pretty close to getting a point out of that game, some might say they were unlucky not to get one.
Impressed how intense Chelsea played, my first time at SB since march and what a difference six months makes. There were a lot of niggly fouls but I think Mourinho's PSB was executed to perfection.
Hope Courtois is okay.

@underscoredan, I'm happy we got the points, disappointed Eriksen got the goal after I'd taken him out of my fantasy team...
didn't see the match, didn't see the highlights, so your words can hold for now....
Only 3points off second, after a so so start to the season, but have man city after the international break, will be interesting to see how we match up, and how much the Pooch can do with the guys who aren't on international duty to up the intensity... -

His celebration for the third was typically downplayed, especially for a blatant handball.
