He played a beautiful little backheel flick in that game, that was a shocking miss tho'...
It's all about the backheels and the flicks. That's what wins you trophies

How would you know?

Zing
-
• #108581
nah everyone knows you win trophies but putting 11 men behind the ball playing memorisingly dull football and then you win on penalties or 1-0 after suffocating opponents

How would you know?
I support Barca/Real Madrid *delete as appropriate and read about them in the Guardian

So Lukaku is on the verge of a 25mil move to Everton.
Cant believe we're selling him
-
• #108584
Because you've got that well known goal machine Torres?
-
• #108585
Shite - better have a good sell on clause inserted...
Not happy with that, at all. Also not happy with him for not wanting to challenge for a striker position. I'd much rather have Lukaku than Torres in the squad.
Real question is, where the fuck did Everton find £25m for a striker? Did they remortgage Goodison?

I thought we might get Barkley as a swap but he signed a new deal today...
-
• #108587
Everton are just fattening up Barkley's sell on for the January sales.
-
• #108588
Barkley is the only Everton player that I would want. Really sucks

aka doing a Rooney.

And the youthful Drogba.
-
• #108591
^^ Exactly...
-
• #108592
And the youthful Drogba.
Just as well we've signed a striker that scored a goal every 115 minutes played (LY).

Jaw, you've got to stop with the misinformation, Lukaku not wanting to fight for a place, more like his manager not wanting to play him. Looks like its Mata all over again. If Mourinho wanted him to stay do you think he'd be sold on?
You can't fight for your place if the manager isn't going to give you the chance... -
• #108594
£28.5m fee agreed, 5yr deal, official announcement tonight
Atsu possibly on loan too
Juve still trying to hijack the deal
Barkley signed £65k per week 4yr extension yesterday
-
• #108595
^^I think so too.
It's a clash of temperament and if TSO is at the helm then that's the end of it.
Sometimes as good a player is they just don't gel with the place or the people, alla Fernando.

You can't fight for your place if the manager isn't going to give you the chance...He's demanding a starting place. That's the reason why he left last season for Everton. Mourinho wasn't able to guarantee him first choice striker (rightfully so) and he's not going to give it to him now is he? I'm pretty sure that Chelsea are not keen to see him go with 2 weeks left before the start of the season.
-
• #108597
jaw, demanding a starting place or saying play me or lose me?
If Mourinho had kept him in the squad last season and seen how he got on when the opportunities arose, he might be willing to stay with less guarantees, but seeing how Mourinho's paid top dollar for diego costa, kept torres, brought back into the fold drogba, and demba ba is still floating around, maybe he figured he'd have even less chance of starting a meaningful game this season, let alone next season if he'd gone on loan again... -
• #108598
More like:
sees TSO sign Diego Costa, realises game is up, had successful world cup, moves to team he had success with and who can keep him in the shop window. -
• #108599
And let's not forget, DC is fucking shit.
How old ishe?
Successful strikers moving from outside the EPL into the EPL tend to be young. -
• #108600
Demba Ba's fucked off to Besiktas, you massive Jeez...
He's best off out of there, for us and him. He has needed a new home since his second Chelsea season.
