  • Can't see Real or Barca going in for that mess. He'll end up in Russia somewhere.

  • Siberia?

  • gulag fc ?

  • Assuming he doesn't get a ban from club football, I think they would still want him but with £15-20mn knocked off the price. Even better if they can insert a clause to suspend pay if he gets banned for a similar incident.

  • at least suarez is taking the pressure off roys boys
who cares if england lost we've got another suarez headline

steve bunces solution - remove suarez's teeth

  • WRT Ingerlund last night... I thought they were much better before Woy dragged Slippy G, Shrek and Sterling on... Still shit tho'...

  • But it is to some extent. Since he's been at the club he's been banned for giving opposition fans the middle finger, racism and biting. Yet it's always someone else's fault, he's victimised, the press pick on him, etc. and the club always rallies round him. Ultimately he's the cunt and he can't control himself, but his employer does fuck all about it because without him they'd be several places lower and wouldn't make the Champions League.

Balls - repped you for the wrong post.

If I'm working in another country then my employer is still still responsible for my conduct.

  • Liverpool have taken down the Suarez match report. Gutless bastards.

They have got an article up on how Suarez was planning to take down the Italians, I doubt they had another biting incident in mind.

  • Loving the defence by the poor outraged Uruguayans that their misunderstood angel is being picked on for a little light cannibalism. Lugano's defence that Chiellini has an existing scar exactly the shape of ratboy's teeth is particularly good.

These situations happen on the pitch. We were both just inside the area; he struck me in the chest with his shoulder and he hit me in the eye as well. These are things that happen on the pitch and you shouldn't attach so much importance to them.

In the TV replay, as viewed in the press area, it appears that [Suárez’s] face comes in contact with Chiellini without it being clear whether he bites him as was claimed by those – especially the English – who were keen to play down Uruguay’s victory.

British reporters in the press conference asked [coach] Óscar Tabárez three times asked about the incident, saying that: ‘Suárez bit Chiellini.’ Their intention was Fifa should intervene and expel Luisito [Suárez] from the World Cup … It would be good if these Englishmen, who are concerned to have Suárez suspended, remember how they won the World Cup in 1966 with a ball which was not a goal

Did you see it [the bite] today or did you see what happened in other years? You couldn’t have seen it today because nothing happened. The worst of everything is the attitude of Chiellini. It doesn’t correspond with Italian football, crying and appealing against a rival. As a man he disappointed me totally. I had him as a reference point. You have to be stupid to think that mark on Chiellini is from today

  • Have to admit I'm starting to glaze over a bit with the amount of football that's on - I've stopped watching games properly and I'm just skim watching or doing other things at the same time. Could do with a rest day.

  • we all need a summer break, it's been a long season

  • spend time with our families, go to dubai and come back refreshed for the community shield

  • It looked premeditated, as he covered 15 metres in a straight line in order to run into Chiellini and bite him. He can't control himself when he is angry and he doesn't see biting people as wrong, so it is likely to happen again.

If we can get £40mn plus a player from Real or Barca (Di Maria or Sanchez spring to mind), I would consider that exceptional business.

Listening to Radio 4 last night.
He was offered a therapist after the Ivanovic incident which he apparently turned down.

A therapist being interviewed at the time of the last bite said that without any kind of therapy Suarez would repeat his behaviour within the next 3 years.

Shocked that Liverpool didnt enforce this therapy upon him but clearly last summer they were so desperate for him to stay that they would do anything.
Even if that involved risking the safety of other professional players and bringing the beautiful game into disrepute.

  • ^^^ My missus does.. She couldn't quite believe how long the WC goes on for:

"a whole MONTH?!.... Will it be on every day?!"

  • ^^ um. He's not an axe murderer, he's just bitten a few people.. and it's not a beautiful game any more.

  • i thought he was seeing steve peters ?

  • and it's not a beautiful game any more.

    Have you seen Oliver Giroud?

  • Not my type

  • Pirlo <3

  • ^ this

  • Charlie George...

  • ^^ um. He's not an axe murderer, he's just bitten a few people.. and it's not a beautiful game any more.

If he wasn't a footballer he probably would be, he's clearly suffering from deep behavioural/emotional issues, not just in his actions but in his attitude to them, defo on the spectrum

  • Oh for sure, the guy needs help. Just trying to offer a bit of perspective.......

... in the football thread #doingitwrong

  • A cycling forum and which thread has the most posts? (Not confirmed)

    A football thread. #doingitwrong

    Sure Velocio could confirm please?

  • Yeah but there's about 500 cycling threads, the aggregate post count of which would eclipse this one.

And anyway, what can you say about competitive cycling? Oooh, ride faster guy! Yeah, that was some fast riding!
