Nothing should make you think of Milner, you poor bastard, you have my sympathy.
Thank you, I felt really dirty doing it too, still can't get the stink out of my brain.

I reckon the northern hemisphere teams especially us are really going to struggle in the heat so you pretty much have to win the game in the first half.
Like Holland?
Big difference between Salvador and the middle of the jungle.

All this cramping business with plenty of time left - was it our players not being fit enough or their tribute to a crocked Lewin?
There is a serious point though. Holland made much after the Spanish game about how fit they are. There's no point being anything less if you plan on going deep into a tournament. Last night was a late kick off, yet we had players down with as much as 20 minutes left. Next game's earlier I think, so should be hotter.

Cramping is simple to explain- they will have run a fair bit further than the Italians due to lack of possession. Premier league players are (generally speaking) some of the fittest footballers around, due to the speed football is played at here. The problem is that we're not that smart with our running - despite covering lots of ground there was absolutely fuck all pressure on the ball last night in midfield. Not to mention the fact that the two central midfielders didn't seem to be able to read the simplest of off the ball movement - every time I saw Gerrard he was ball watching.
Honestly I thought Gerrard was woeful, Henderson was industrious but Milner would have been a better choice. Sterling looked OK on the ball but contributed absolutely fuck all the rest of the time. I was actually pretty impressed by Welbeck, especially given he was the only player bothering to win the ball back aside from Jagielka and Cahill. Rooney turned in a fairly typical performance in an England shirt, so no surprise there.
However- the last two games England have played have been the first time in almost a decade that I've seen them play some actual fucking football, and I thought that on balance it was a good game and a fairly decent perfomamce, considering how shit we've been for so long.

So essentially what you're saying is Bains had to work twice as hard and then got tired? Come back Jeez, all is forgiven.
apologies i didnt put that down very well, even at the start of the game and 1st half he looked off the pace and his offensive game was sluggish last night, he has got slaughtered for defensive mistakes, he had little protection and was exposed.

Fuck me, isn't this the summer? From the activity on here, and the liberal use of 'we', the casual observer, who didn't know you lot better, would assume you were actually interested in England and international football, despite repeated claims to the contrary...

Uruguay without Suarez are very ordinary, as Liverpool will find our next season. Campbell looked awesome, looking forward to seeing him against stiffer opposition, and fully expect Wenger to put him back out on loan next season.
England were all-right, wasn't embarrassed to be supporting them, which makes a change.
It's getting so so dull now.
He is going nowhere for the 10000th time -

Interesting how the older generation of Colombians in London have nothing good to say about their country or their football team.
Yet hundreds turned out around E&C yesterday, a sea of yellow kit and huge smiles, the Ecuadorians are among us too.
Great carnival atmosphere at the moment, and obviously everyone here want England to do well.. -
