"I can't believe it. I've loved this club all my life. I left here 17 years ago and I haven't stopped loving it since," said Lambert.

Do feel a bit sorry for them, but after the way they dumped Adkins that sympathy is limited. If you want to swim with the big fishes.

As a saints fan, I can just about live with Lambert leaving, can't say its a massive surprise, he nearly went to West Ham last year, so getting a chance to go to Liverpool was too good to turn down.
Would be less worried if we hadn't spunked a load of money on a nutjob Italian last summer.
Will be interesting to see who we get in as manager, lots of rumours around Koeman, which I would be pretty happy with, and think we could maybe keep some of our best players if he did come. -

All paper talk at the moment
I can't see for a moment that if Cesc were to leave Barca and come back to England, that it would be a team other than us.
He would be available for around £17m (buy back clause and monies owed to us from Barca).
Fair play to George. I'd like to see him stay but if he wants weekly football he might have to take a step down in quality. I respect any player that wants to get off the bench.
