I was selfishly hoping they'd get relegated so I could go to a couple of cheap championship games next season...
Think all true Eagles fans are glad they survived in the Premiership

Well deduced Sherlock, not much gets past you does it.

She was born at home in Streatham. She goes to nursery. There are 3 Palace supporting staff members.
I told her to say "super Eagles".
She came home saying "I 'port Crystal Palace".

once toure leaves or with him still here ?
Even with him still here. There isn't a technical midfielder anywhere near Kroos in teh Premier League, plus he has the physical presence that someone like Veron lacked.
I'd pay £50m to have him at Arsenal!

I mean Stan would pay the money. Obvs

Anyone watching the under-17 final tonight?

I have lost my daughter to Crystal Palace.
Could be a lot worse.
Best atmosphere of any ground in London.

They have dancing girls Dan.
How can I, as a middle class person, allow that? -
• #103213
Kroos would be ace for us wouldn't mind Robben as well...

He could teach Ashley Young the true arts of diving, couldn't he.

Buckaroo, I know you've been starved of technical wingers for a while now, but lusting after Robben. Christ, isn't having Ashley Young throwing himself to the ground enough for you..

I think he's doing just fine, he won't be there that much longer i hope, was never fit to pull on the shirt.

I would hardly call it lusting...

Ru, Lambert eats humble pie and welcomes back the high wage earners who he's been trying to get out of the club for the last two seasons
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/20/aston-villa-paul-lambert-darren-bent-u-turn
is this a case of a manager seeing he was wrong, or being told a'la AVB we're paying for them so use 'em?
Already very depressed about next season. There's no quick sale in place, so looks as though we'll limp on through the summer with no strategy.
Albrighton going is bad. He's a good player and done pretty well for us.
Bent coming back - can't see that being more than a drain on cash. He only seems good for a couple of cameo appearances these days.
I've always thought Hutton was shit. Do not want to see him back at all.
Meanwhile, I can see our better players getting picked off. Almost glad Benteke is not going to the WC as it keeps him out of the limelight - he would have been great in that Belgium team. Vlaar and Delph - our two best players (with Guzan) last season - are into the final year of their contracts and with no sign of new ownership (and manager) there's no incentive for them to stay.
Impressed that Lambert is staying put for now though - would be even worse without a manager.
Dark times.

Van Gaal might turn him into a LB, you just never know with him. Last time round at Barcelona the fans were joking that he'd put Overmars in goal because of his height.

RE: Villa. Can definitely see them going down next year if they don't sort a sale and/or plan out this summer.

I'm ready for the mental as long as it brings in results and shakes up a team populate with no marks and chancers...

You looking forward to seeing Fat Sam's creative attacking football next season then?
Could be worse.
Like Derby.
