So Luis Enrique signed as new manager at barca, plus new keeper der stegen (sp) and defeleou (sp) and the other alcantara recalled from loan spells. Barca getting their business done early in the transfer window.

I know Enrique is steeped in the barca way despite coming in from Real Madrid, but is it just me and are barca trying to capture that guardiola lightning in a bottle again, by promoting young former youth team couch to the big seat. He's only got a two year deal so of things go tits up there won't be a huge contract to settle at least..

I will look forward to your lot getting totally stretched by playing in Europe and being out of the CL places next year...

Corny, he's steeped in the Barça culture and has a successful stint with Barça B just like Guardiola and Villanova before him. Martino was a left field appointment that came in on Messi's wishes (apparently). He did a decent job with Celta Vigo finishing 9th this year. Roma was less successful. Time will tell I guess.

He definitely will buy the board some time considering the car crash of a mess the club is involved in at the moment.

Is there a better job done by a manager this season than Simeone breaking up Real and Barca's dominance of La Liga, no other team apart from those two have won the spanish league in a decade, and Simeone with a team that was put together on less than it cost Chelsea to buy Fernando Torres.

Now that's managing. Really want to see them stuff Real in the Final. and am hoping the team doesn't get broken up, though it probably will and what Simeone can do next season...

He HATES Real Madrid and admittedly is a bit of a populist appointment for the upcoming club elections that will have to happen sooner rather than later. He's what they call a "good egg". The baiting as a player and coach of Real Madrid is a joy to watch.

He once said that getting whistled at in the Bernabeu is the ultimate accolade that you can get as a Barcelona player.

That's not where it went wrong for them, it's where it went right for your lot. No distractions, no major injuries and you still won fuck all, gonna be tougher next season.
