No. Wenger bought players that were not being scouted/recognised.
Henry was class at Monaco, underwhelming at Juventus.
Patrick V was class but not doing anything at Milan (?).This team of "nobodies" were able to bash fuck out of the premier league, when people got wise new scouting networks spotted players Wenger was previously spotting.

They are sticking with Wenger, so my guess is that they'll be linked with every big name striker in Europe all summer, fail to sign any of them, then re-sign Bendtner on a 2 year deal.

don't be so down Andy, you might be able to panic buy another £42million flat track bully at the last minute..

..which should keep the Sauvignon Blanc flowing for another season at the Emirates.

Chalfie is bang on. Arsene arrived in the English game when the only way foreign players were scouted was if they were REALLY FUCKING GOOD, OH YEAH I'VE HEARD OF HIM players. He's been treading water for a decade.

Also, do you think Wenger could have been a bit more flexible, and found a way to accomodatr Podolski in a more central role playing off someone else? I suppose the problem is the lack of a someone else, but I think Wenger underrates Podolski.
Podolski has spent very little of his career as a striker, despite what some seem to think, he has always been played (and best) on the left of a front three.

Quite, I think my reasoned statement became a rhetorical question by the end.
Who are Arsenal going to get then?
Possibly Benzema.
More likely - Bony/Vela/Drmic etc
Wenger failed to buy a striker last summer, I don't believe it will be the same mistake again

There was a time when Arsenal had a world class squad, Veira and Gilberto controlled everything.
We don't produce devastating explosive football anymore, only Wenger is to blame.. I'm still keen for a change. -

Kind of, Roboto. Arsenal won something and a bunch of fans from other teams are being all pissy because they entered and failed to win it.
I'm especially enjoying the Liverpool jealousy. I've even heard a Liverpool fan boast about how more fans turned up to their victory parade in 2006. Totally pathetic. Yes mate, you have such a big club...well done!

Neither of them are even good enough to be flat track bullies

Nice to see Wegner being rewarded with a new contract after two very mediocre Wembley performances and a poor fourth place finish. Long may it continue

okay venues for champions league final?
somewhere we can continue drinking afterwards? east or south?
automatically I'm thinking Albion or Effra, but both aren't the biggest of venues, but have decent atmosphere's. Unless someone can suggest a spanish bar to watch it in... -
