No. Wenger bought players that were not being scouted/recognised.
Henry was class at Monaco, underwhelming at Juventus.
Patrick V was class but not doing anything at Milan (?).

This team of "nobodies" were able to bash fuck out of the premier league, when people got wise new scouting networks spotted players Wenger was previously spotting.

They are sticking with Wenger, so my guess is that they'll be linked with every big name striker in Europe all summer, fail to sign any of them, then re-sign Bendtner on a 2 year deal.

Podolski has spent very little of his career as a striker, despite what some seem to think, he has always been played (and best) on the left of a front three.

Quite, I think my reasoned statement became a rhetorical question by the end.
