You wet the bed early yesterday for drinks :(
Perhaps Liverpool can have some deducted for fielding a known racist...
Reported for racism.
You've got more Front the leafletting Nationalists in the chicken run.
Chairman of anti-racism group Kick It Out Herman Ouseley said:
“This charge is not saying Luis Suarez is a racist. It’s saying, on this occasion, he used racist language. It doesn’t make him a bad guy – he needs to learn what is acceptable.”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
“It is key to note that Patrice Evra himself in his written statement in this case said ‘I don’t think that Luis Suarez is racist’. The FA in their opening remarks accepted that Luis Suarez was not racist.”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Most of the things we say are not captured; although, with loads of cameras on us, the chances should be higher, and the absence of evidence should present some doubt. If you were taking part in an event filmed by a dozen cameras for 90 minutes, then if 10 accusations were made, there’s a chance that they’d be picked up. None were on video (and I know a source who has forensically studied the footage at the FA).
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
More uncertainty would arise with the complexity of the word allegedly used: ‘negrito’.
By all accounts – from many who live in South America, and several linguistics experts I’ve read on the issue – negrita/negrito doesn’t necessarily mean black in Uruguay. It’s now often used for black and white people alike; unlike the n-word, which is offensive when used in hate, but is also ironically used by black people ‘reclaiming’ it. But the n-word definitely refers to the colour of skin.
Whereas negrito, in Uruguay, does not; not definitively, according to many sources. It is often used to mean friend, or lover, or mate, with the skin colour irrelevant. We can use ‘mate’ even when insulting someone, either just as a placeholder or perhaps in irony (‘alright, pal?’), when of course it’s not being friendly. But if the word ‘negrito’ has a blurred meaning, then it’s hard to say with certainty that it was meant with racial intent, or just ‘mate’.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
That the conversation took place in Spanish, and not English, also affects the issue. Yes, it was on English soil, so people will say that the meaning of the word in our language only applies here. Ignorance of the law is no defence, but as the conversation took place in Spanish, then surely the nuances in Spanish (and in particular, the Uruguayan dialect) have to come into play. Or so I’d have thought. The reason Suarez admitted to saying it, and has been surprised at the verdict, was because he felt it wasn’t used with racial overtones. I’m sure Liverpool thought they’d proved that.
Sorry to piss on your narrative (unless you're saying he is a TOTAL CUNT in which case we are in agreement).
Speaking of piss, I can't work out if that acrid smell is that of burning plastic flags driven by easterly winds or deeply soiled coach seats....Anyone?

Use you energies to direct it to the idiots that really deserve it.
Like the potential idiot here (Anfield):

IT GOT WORSE WHEN HIS CHILD CAME OUT TO HUG HIM.
Once more Spanish football has been subject to the racist insults of its fans. This time, the victim has been Marcelo, when Atlético fans launched a tirade of verbal abuse against the player. According to MARCA photographer Pablo Garcia, after the derby this Wednesday in the Bernabéu, Atlético fans started to chant "Marcelo is a monkey" at the Brazilian.
This lamentable incident took place during the warming up of the Real Madrid substitutes after the game, when the stadium was virtually empty except for the Atlético fans.
Amazingly, the situation got even worse when Marcelo finished warming up and joined his son at the edge of the pitch. In this moment, the Atlético fans started to shout "Marcelo isn't your father".
Curiously, the incident has had more repercussions abroad then in Spain. The sports TV channel "Sky Sports" and the British daily "The Guardian" both reported the happenings, alleging that in Spanish football more often than not the people who carry out such terrible acts get off scot-free.

It's racist.
Contributors to this thread have been banned for using the "y" word and for referring to Sunderland fans in a slightly unfair manner.
That comment is appalling.
Oh you're looking out for those poor Sunderland fans. Gotcha.
Has this ever stopped your "slightly unfair" sniping of the people of Liverpool and the constant linking to criminality? Or using "scouse" as a short hand for theft? -
• #102211
Festus, I know it's been a long day for you and all that, but how is that chant not racist? I'd be worried if no one on here would have reported that. I know the CPS said it's not racist but I still find it appalling that anyone thinks it acceptable to address any player in such a way.
Also, I'll be surprised if you don't find a right wing element at ANY football club in the country. The vast majority of football fans are intelligent enough to ignore the small minority of idiots out there or educate them one at a time providing they merit e oxygen they breathe.

My "sniping" at the residents of Liverpool is based on numerous personal experiences, which may well lead people to assume that I could be slightly xenophobic.
Anyway - how is that now adjusted comment not racist? I gather that ironically the very inventors have adjusted their original chant to something along the lines of infatuation and allowing said (useless) striker some pleasures of the flesh with ones wife.
Oh, the fickle face of football...

Manager Jose Mourinho was involved in a half-time bust-up with his players as Chelsea appeared to blow their last chance of winning the Premier League title by drawing 0-0 with Norwich.
the return of the trophyless-one will end badly i fear

B&D I've revoked the part of the comment with a racist angle and explained the intentions behind posting are not race related.
Do excuse me, In my circle of young friends, in the TA (now) and a few years back growing up at school the banter was often quite harsh, and you'd have a go at anyone for any reason even if it didn't make sense. Of course in a group of friends you all know each other enough to know that it's all light hearted and the intention of the person saying the stuff is not discriminatory against any race, religion, gender etc., but just a dig at that person for fun. That was my intention.
However it doesn't work on an internet forum, you either come of as a racist or a troll unless there is an established joke. Even then anyone not 'in' on the joke will be even more upset because they will think racism is being tolerated. I apologise for any offense caused but I hope you can see where i'm coming from.

You know what kind of day I've had? I never saw the words of the chant posted. I don't think I've ever heard the chant. All I saw was a series of edited posts and the aftermath. It is truly fantastic that there is a level below which this thread will not be allowed to fall below.
....apart from when Paul chooses to call my godson, my uncle & best friends thieves and criminals by virtue of their postcode/accent. He belligerently goes out of his way to use it forum wide- probably well beyond the forum.
Why am I the only one that questions this particular aberration?
What is your reasoning for never addressing this?
Why have you made no mention of the inaccurate term aka slander used by Paul in relation to the fachts I dropped from the court case?
I'm confused: CPS^ says it WAS NOT racist but you all say it was. Everyone involved said of LS case, he is not a racist but several here throw the term around unchecked like cheap Miche components. As you know, I'm not the fondest of the dirty, lying, cheat but:"It's just that some of the moderation here is a little inconsistent..." - B&D

That's called burying your head in the sand, something many here are guilty of by choosing not to wag their own fingers when you see the same mud thrown over and over. See UEFA, Platini, Blatter et al.

Well how are your unadjusted attitudes not xenophobic? Start closer to home.
