And still none of the top managers step up to claim the championship. Really disappointed with all this 'we are not the favourites ' bullshit. If city win again this will be twice it has been by default.
Odds on a chelsea double? Not a hope in hell, Tim...

Only if I go on about how we are favourites to win everything, like a delusional kopite.
I think our form has been ignored over the last couple of weeks while other teams fight it out for the last play-off spots. I'd love to get promoted again, but I won't lose sleep about having to do another year in the Championship when we can strengthen for an automatic promotion spot.
It worked for your boys last year.
Who do you think will win the play-offs this year?

Wigan
-
• #101541
Haha, I would've said Wigan a couple of weeks ago. You're obviously favourites, no one else has been able to put any form together
-
• #101542
Yeah, Wigan played well until recently, the wheels have started to rattle on the axles. They did get their tactics right against us last time we played each other. Jose must've watched that game and decided that was how he should play against Liverpool.

does anyone know if there are any statistics to show whether a team is more likely to stay up in their first season of the PL if they won the play-offs, rather than automatically qualifying?

The wisdom of Shanks

That is nonsense though isn't it, as Rodgers has exceeded expectations.

Rodgers continues to make rather basic sartorial errors. In the picture above, he's wearing a soft collared shirt with a suit.
And his suits are always shiney. Definite sign of a cheap suit...

What about his nice white teeth and his mahogany tan? You can't say that ain't classy.
That's top of the range clobber in the club shop.

yes colin murray did this on his radio show last week
probably still available as a podcastlisten to the first 5 mins of each show this week he does a quick brief of what is coming up
overall it was somethink like 30% survive for 2 or more seasons
he looked at 1st place 2nd place and qualifying via play offs
he also looked at 1st season syndrome and the follow on effect in the second season
was quite interesting2nd place team was the most sucessful i believe

He's a football manager, have they ever showed any signs of sartorial elegance?
Villa Reals two goals were lovely.
