  • IF Liverpool do win the league we need to have LFC victory drinks. All the Chelsea bedwetters and Pisti are of course invited

Maybe everyone can meet you after the match v Newcastle at anfield? Your sure to be there right?

  • hey some of these youngster haven't seen liverpool win the 1st division title 3 times in a row

or for that matter even once
    let their excitement mount...

Having said that this is true. I hardly remember 2000-01. 2004-05-06 are the only years I saw silverware, my brother even drove me to a few matches which I still love him for. I still had my shirt from 2005 until my mum finally got hold of it and threw it away last year. In a way to younger Liverpool fans this is more exiting than it is to the oldies. We've only ever heard stories of winning the league.

  • Errrrr I hope you slapped your mum around a bit for that. If my mum ditched one of my west brom kits she'd know about it. Does this mean your mum still does your washing? Are you Italian?

  • No but i'm a poor London student living at home under her mercy. I've given it a rest recently but every other day I usually have another go at her for it.

  • You're a poor London Student living at home? Why the fuck are you a Lib'pool fan then?

  • I hardly remember 2000-01.

My favourite LFC shirt. Not because what it looks like (it's shit), but because those few months were some of the best in the last few decades.

  • Reports in Ireland on Wednesday suggested that Van Gaal would be keen to recruit Roy Keane, the former United captain, as his assistant should he be appointed as manager.

LOL how would that not end in tears?

  • Maybe everyone can meet you after the match v Newcastle at anfield? Your sure to be there right?

    You bet!

the last time we won the title i guess i just didn't think it would be between 20 - 40 years before we win our next one, each year the disappointment grew, each year year the hopes and fabulous memories began to fade
the pinsharp images in my mind have become instagram images in sepia, you know the ones, with the blurred edges and the fake pubes on the negative and bacteria spots etc

the winning mentality hasn't slipped, just look at our trophy cabinet, it was just that the big one just didn't come

being back in the title mix has brought much excitement this year

to be truthful i'm glad i didn't have to go through this every year
i'd look as grey as jonny ( come tyo think of it thats probably why he's so grey, all those titles run ins ... not good for the heart ) or the hair / beard

  • Can't wait for Sunday...

yeah you might get to see your team playing some proper football rather than dosy's normal turgid style
it must be a strange situation for thrushy to have to go out and try and play football and win a game rather than defend and hope for penalties / grind out results

I know a few who've been a lot this season can't get tickets for that... Might be easier to be in the away end. I think there's a general sale on soon where the website will melt over people hustling over the 5 restricted view seats in the anny road end

  • Poor Arsenal

Sadly, the owner thinks that finishing 4th is akin to a trophy too.

  • You're a poor London Student living at home? Why the fuck are you a Lib'pool fan then?

    Plastic innit.

  • you probably watched their 97/98 season and the glorious victory in the carlsberg trophy

you knew then it could only be one team right ?

  • Not even. My best mates family are scousers and Liverpool fans to the core. That meant at 6 years old I was indoctrinated and taken to matches etc. Didn't help that my dad and cousins were real plastics.

  • that was my way in too !

  • apart from the going to matches bit obvs.

  • If we win we should do a weekend Liverpool ride. We might need a guide mind.

  • pisti
    he knows liverpool i think

  • Festus is your man, no?

  • So whereabouts in London are you from then, Husy?

Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack. A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith, for Thomas, charging through the midfield. Thomas, it's up for grabs now! Thomas! Right at the end! An unbelievable climax to the league season.

    cough

  • husy will have no clue about that
    he wasn't even born then
he probably doesn't even know the shamen or black box
