Ah, I had one of those too, bought from some posh shop out near tunbridge on a day trip with my parents. I was then 'taught' how to ride it on a massive hill.

I seriously cannot remember my first few bikes, probably due to all the blows to the head I received when falling off my latter bikes!

Yep, born in the 70's so I also had a budgie, it was a hand me down from my sister.
Followed by a Boxer
Perfect for ghosties n wheelies up the rec!

I know I had bikes before this that were hand-me-downs from my older brothers but I remember the first bike I ever got just for me was a Emmelle 5 gear mountain bike.
It was a complete pile of shit but I loved it.

This was the first bike that was bought for me, before this I had various hand me downs most of which had solid rubber tyres (no punctures). The last one was a Tomohawk, then the Supergoose.
Pics after restoration earlier this year.

I was trying to find a picture of the 'chicco' that i stumbled across on ebay last month (I swear i wasn't searching for young spanish boys for sale). Gold frame, big white tyres, it may have been a Raleigh. I swear the rush of nostalgia almost made me buy it, but it was a wee bit small even for my stumpy legs.

Apollo Prodigy, I upgrade it every chance I got and it turn out to be lighter than my father old road bike, irony! especially since it got a suspension fork (very very shit mind), what more it´s lighter than my current Kona MTB.
it cost 100 quid brand new from Halfraud, actually come to think of it, I think my mate still have it at his mother´s house in Farnham, I should buy it back having sold it for 120 quid.

bloody hell, thats a blast from the past for me, there was a bigger red one for the next generation up that a friend of mine owned as well, did it have a panel with buttons on it as well?
I loved my little budgie, really wanted a foxtail for it…
