Clara, I have a Rip Curl tech jacket in medium that you're more than welcome to. It's quite a large fit but it depends on what he's going to wear as a base. I'll wash it and bring it to norths for you next week, unless you want it sooner.

• #384
by next week do you mean tomorrow?
-
• #385
No, next week ;-)

That would also be awesome and I can pay you in beer - what colour is it?
-
• #387
Green, but quite a pale one, not garish at all. I've also got a medium Protest one which you're more than welcome to borrow which is a grey plaid colour. Up to you, although I would want the Protest one back at some point.

The free one that Ben can fall in without being worried would be amazing if that's ok? He's having my old pants and board but new boots so that should keep him happy - why you not the hill tomorrow?
-
• #389
I might be, not sure where I'll end up with work so not committing to it yet. Plus if I wash the jacket now, it'll never be dry by tomorrow and I need to get the paw prints off it.
-
• #390
Ha! Ok fair point - you don't need to wash it though we can give it a good clean this end - plus won't washing stop it from being waterproof?

So I'm turning 30 next year - eeek and want to go snowboarding for a week to celebrate. Can anyone recommend a good chalet in Europe for around 8 people that doesn't break the bank?
Thanks

I went to Mirabel this year (2 girls + 3 guys), and we wanted a sitting room and more or less our own rooms. Most of the ads for chalets size the place on how many people it's physically possible to sleep - ie 2 pull out sofas, a thick rug in the corner etc. We got an 8 person place. So if you want an 8 person chalet you might need to look for a 10-12 one.
But equally if your happy with being squashed I think the cost will come down a fair bit.
Mirabel is nice, plus you can get a 3 valleys pass so you've got the option of going higher to Val Thorens. The only downside is the cost of the lift passes are highish.
We used these guys:
Agence des Neiges
http://www.meribel-neiges.com/
agneiges@meribel-neiges.comThe cost was around €1,000 (so €200 each), for a place in the middle of town and about a 10min walk to the slopes.

Pm'd jesuislefuss
That board is worth a lot of money these days, especially if those are the first year Sims highback bindings - keep it safe
