Thanks for the insight. Forgot to mention it's a 2012 but looks in good condition.

Forgotten about this thread! Went to Norway a few weeks ago, restrictions conveniently lifted just before. Apart from the actual snowboard I think getting a one piece ski suit is my best purchase ever!

These still available?
Why didn’t you get on with them?
I’ve just come back from Bansko. Great to be on snow again. Im rubbish at boarding though …
I’m thinking of getting my own board /bindings for next season.

Now the owner of a bataleon evil twin. Just need to figure out what bindings I should go for and how much to spend. I'm a beginner so nothing too stiff I'd imagine.

When I got my first brand new board (2014) I got Union Force bindings, they're still going strong after 6 full winter seasons, never even broke a strap. I did hear that later models weren't quite so durable.
Only bindings I've ever used in anger so can't be much help but they are a mid flex.

Thats reassuring as my mate just said that union are the ones to go for and to not bother with anything else.
Obviously people have preferences....
Midflex should be good as I hopefully improve.....

Google reviews all seem to say Union Bindings too

I’ve been happy with my union contact bindings over the years I’ve had them. Nothing to compare against though.

Rome or Union from my experience seem to be up there

Took me a while to figure out what you meant, thought you meant the ski suit 😉
I sold the step on bindings & boots last season. Didn’t get on with the boots mainly, the step on system worked ok. -

To throw a spanner in your plans, if you're looking to keep it cheap and you need a size L (I'm EU 46) I've just upgraded so have these Flux TT30's spare, they're looking tatty as a few seasons old but they're fully functioning. Mid-flex and playful but very supportive. The front ratchet lever has cracked but it still works fine and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Be happy to take £30 for them.
Base plate and screws included.
Here's a pic of them working.

Second for union Force - fave binding to date even if I did explode the first set in 4 days (Warranty replacement was rapid, subsequently survived a lot of trips)… previously a Ride fan but wouldn’t look back now.

Ah the dream; the amount of boards I could have ridden if not for my cruise liner feet. That Salomon up there ^ being one, but just had too much heel and toe drag in anything deeper than 5cm.
No worries! The offer applies to anyone else if interested. -

Didn’t get on with the boots mainly,
My current boots are Burtons which is a good sign. Cheers!

Got these bindings to go with my evil twin board. New old stock but should be good...
Just need to get a medium helmet but seems so hard to find a decent medium at the moment.

They look nice.
I’d recommend watching/reading some bits on setting up your bindings. I didn’t for my first couple of trips but when I properly set them up it made a surprising difference.

For sure. Iv only ever rented boards at the snowdome and once from my recent trip to Chamonix. Now iv got my own board and bindings. I'm getting boots next week at my local snowboarding show so I'll get them to go over fitting and setting up everything hopefully.
I'll second @Stoo61 's thoughts. I was looking for an Evil Twin for a good standard piste board.
