  • id be interested in these fin, if your at polo on wednesday could you bring em down so i could have a loook?

  • sure thing

  • Anyone got any drop bars that will be compatible with my quill schtem?

  • Anyone got a fixed sprocket 17t 1/8", its for a Campagnolo flip hub. The old girls going fixed again. Would love a nice coloured one but none of those Halo ones thanks.

  • I might have a miche one, they are an acquired taste though as they have a bit of rock in them. Not good for the "tight chain-zero play" brigade.

  • hello all.
I can't really put my heart and soul into polo until i find a bike that is suitable, so i'm after your help. If you happen to come across anything around the 52cm - 54cm size that is in reasonably good shape, please hit me up. I can't really afford the time of building one up at this time cos i need to get going ASAP.
Any help on this would be very much appreciated. Cheers in advance.

  • I can put one together for you out of a mountain bike if you chip in for parts.

We could actually share it as a polo bike as I need something more polo suited.

I have a biggish old marin rigid XC bike and a small halfords alu mtb I used to ride to college. Both in semi working state which I havent touched/do not use. You'd fit on either.

  • Cheers for the offer mate, but I'm looking for a road frame, but also something of my own, as I'm needing something to progress with - quickly! That's very kind though mate.

  • pics of the marin?

    pfff, fashion!

An mtb frame would suit polo way more. Easier to track stand, even with freewheel.

  • yeah, but massive gap between the wheels. i reckon mtbs make sense for shorties, but tall people would need a massive seatpost, reducing the benefits of lower centre of gravity

  • and who said anything about fashion? I simply prefer the slender tubes and position of a roadie....
