  • I just watched, i'm broke.

  • whoever paid one-hundred-and-twenty-three pounds and fifty-five pence for it got merked.

  • Never know, the wheels might be nice. Could still split it and make cash. Or it could be a pile of rust Stu....

  • yeah, probably got a headset like a wizard's sleeve 'an all...

  • Price seems right if the frame is in good nick, the saddle is worth at least 40 on it's own

  • Cross-posted from main classifieds - If anyone local wants something I will knock money off these prices

Looking for **£60 Posted ** - Will be shipped in proper wheel boxes.

    Detailed pictures here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v61/tom_down/Bikes/Sale%20Parts/600%20Wheels/

Hubs are smooth and in great condition, Polish is in good nick bar a few scratches on the non drive-side rear. 600 Tricolour stickers intact. Original skewers included. Can be used as Singlespeed with a spacer kit and bb lockring, otherwise Takes a 7 speed Uniglide cassette (you can still buy these from SJS cycles!) can use a 6 speed uniglide with a spacer. Alternatively you could do a transplant and run modern cassettes on it. Rear Hub is 126mm OLD. Rims have been braked on and this has taken away some of the surface anodize, but they have lots of life left. One little dint in one, slight damage to the Araya sticker on the front. Spokes appear to be stainless and plain gauge. Wheels are true.

MODOLO PILOT ANATOMIC HANDLEBARS 40CM ctc WIDE 25.4 CLAMP £12 POSTED
Good condition, few clamp marks and tape marks. Nice and lightweight, Double cable grooved.

    PRO-LITE 48t 1/8 144bcd TRACK CHAINRING (UNUSED) £12 POSTED
This was originally black and silver but I stripped the anodize and polished it - then realized it was too large for my needs. I've done a reasonable job but could do with a bit more wet n' dry work to get a proper mirror finish, it has never seen a chain so teeth are perfect. If you flip it over it's a solid flat surface on the back if you don't like the cutout design.

    That's the truth.

Tomd, £40 for the saddle, really? Nice enough frame, but so many potential problems, you could be taking on a total shitheap. Much better to get a brand new, warrantyable (except for polo) pompino.

Things like that are all about the risk. 1/3 times you'll get a bargain, 2/3 times there'll be a fatal problem which makes it near-valueless.

    IMO.

  • Dan! Are you working today? I'll get that rim if your not and drop your power lead round.

  • Yeah, day off today.

  • That's the truth.

Like I said, obviously it's hard to tell the condition from the photo, but assuming it's in reasonable condition, it looks to be a 60's Brooks professional - Look what they go for on ebay. Regarding the frame, Again assuming it's structurally sound - Look at what hilarystone charges for knackered 60's track/path frames. £100 - 150 pounds. The frame looks more dirty (like it's been in a shed for 40 years) Rather than rusty.

Your right, it is a risk, especially putting your faith in that one crap photo, but don't underestimate the potential value of it

  • If anyone's planning on building up a new polo (or trick/dirt jump) bike with disc brakes i'm selling my DMR forks and some alu cannondale forks as well, both black and disc only. Made for 26" wheels but big enough for 700's as well, tough and well built. Dmr has a 20cm (ish) steerer, cannondale steerer is smaller.
Selling my blue/green brooks colt too. All will be on ebay soon, so pm if you want something before it goes on.

  • How much for colt Neil?

  • yeah - I'd be interested to see how much you want for it too?

  • bidding war!

  • Looking for £40 quid for the colt, due to the incredible amount of money they cost when new.

  • Well I'm happy to take second dibs if the gooner loving Bazzo wants it.

  • Dan you take it, I'm gonna stick to san marco. I hate getting into a different saddle.

  • I'll take some pics later.

  • If you could Neil, that would be ace. Very interested mate.
