That's kind of the point, there'll be loads of people at downham or mitch on that Thursday, you'd get more (some) court time out west.
(there are other reasons too)

People stopped playing there before I started playing. What's the court like? Are there lights?
-

they were playing at a court in hurlingham park. There are no lights there. Summer time yes and wkends for now (unless you find a court with lights!). West polo hasn't happened for while. If you live west and want to play local then get wests rocking and moving again. Some of the westies have retired or are in polo hybination or something (they turn up at south or east polo every now and then but i'm sure they would prefer to play local)..Just try and get six people togeather and your away innit.

did the thunderdome have lights? (aimed at previous westies) i only went there in summer
-
• #4765
nah, no lights at thunderdome… most of the OG westies tend to play at Newington or Downham now
be good to get some westy action going again tho
-
• #4766
In for westie action. (and I'm not talking about giving small dogs a bone)
The only place we played with any kind of lighting was a car park in putney (which we repeatly got tufted out of, so people weren't willing to ride too in case it was fruitless and an underpass near there, which had a terrible surface, but I'd rather play there than no where... Although this sentiment appears to be mine alone...
Didn't Tom (lemon) find a north western court with lights? I'm still up for trying it out.

We only got kicked out because you insisted on singing.

X Factor polo? Didn't know Mr. Cowell lives in west :)

So far we play at hurlingham (no lights) and we'd be well up for playing westpolo again...
I've got at least 4 -6 who come regularly, what day is good for everyone? Generally we try and practice thursdays (not next as we have a match) but maybe one after? There is some form of lighting at hurlingham, but might be at a tennis court...
Anyone know anywhere else?

Funny, thursdsays was wests, doubly good as west drinks is also on Thursday... Hmm does that mean you lot start early? Trouble with early Thursday for me is having work, but there are at least a couple of westies who could make early wests?
James if you're up for the car park, I promise not to sing (hell, I'll even not drink as that will probably help on the not singing front) :)
Ok so same old problem, we need lights...

• #4771
What's the criteria for a car park court?
I know a good carpark where they aren't too mean.
I guess twickenham is too far southwest though. -
• #4772
I've already recceed most of that area Joe. But it's abit far west for most

• #4773
Daytime polo anyone? I'm free Wednesday and Thursday next week, so If we play say afternoon till about 5, we could get a good few throw-ins going? Any luck with lights etc..
-
• #4774
Right, we'll be here for 3 till it gets dark (I might be down earlier, say 2) so anyone who fancies it is welcome to come for throw-ins then drinks?>
-
• #4775
Might be in for some Thursday or even Wednesday (working 6 onwards...) polo depending on weather and location of the West-lo courts. Someone kindly paste the googlemap link?
possibly.
chances are everyone will be south or north east though no???
