Yep it is quite small and the surface is crap...

The one saving grace is it is currently the only covered lit area out west that we aren't going to get turffed off!

Hey all - is hurlingham on tonight or? i ve played at the elephant tournament and also brick lane a while back and was thinking of getting my act together tonight and play some polo? I am in battersea. have mallet but could do with some proper sized tubing if anyone has any spare

No polo at Hurly tonight it gets dark too early. PM big daddy wayne for tubing he's in Putney and has loads.

im pretty desperate to play as uni has meant i haven't been able to play since i first tried it over a month ago so i'm up for court hunting for a few hours.

council page seems very receptive so im going to swing by there when i go out tonight to check if it does indeed have lights and report back.

I actually ride past this everyday, but i didnt think it was A) floodlit B) big enough, but on closer inspection it doesnt look too bad, and is floodlit (albeit not very well) surface looks ok too (it appears to be funny colours in the satellite pic, but is actually tarmac) will go back and check it for camber/size with a ball and mallet later and report back.

only downside is that it is on a relatively quiet residential road, so we'd probably have to be relatively quiet and be sure to clean up cans, be discreet about smokes etc....

Checked it out and not flood lit. However there is a place just down the road that has floodlit tennis/five a side courts. Asked someone there and she said she didn't have a problem with bike on the courts but would have to double check. Its open till 10 but you have to pay. £4 an hour 3 if you have a student card. Any thoughts? Ill be getting a call in the next day or two so if there's enough people to make paying worth it (the biggest issue) we should try it out.

Nobody, that's actually a lot cheaper than I was expecting, a few of us have student cards... Sounds feasable, but really ithink a lot of people would like to treat that as a last resort. It would stop us from drinking and smoking courtside wouldn't it? Something which for a few of us at least is the only reason we play!? :)

To be honest it didn't seem like there would be much of an issue with drinking and smoking, its just a hut with some courts so if people were good about clearing up i doubt they would care but yeah defiantly a last resort.
