They're the ones that came up first on Google, cheers.

Thank you - I had this one, and the cables themselves were about 1/4 the size of my jump leads, they seemed too small to be firing 3000A peak current down to the battery.
Maybe I was just being too cautious

I want to say black, but tbh I can only remember the pink mud flaps tbh! I’ve had a week off :/

They overcome the problem by being short so overall resistance is low. It's also 12v 3000A not 240v so it's not like you're powering a cooker and cooker wiring is not much thicker than that.

For 3000A to flow in a 12 volt system you'd need the sum total of every cable, joint and other part of the circuit to sum to less that 4 thousandths of an ohm*, which is really not very many ohms. It's a lie, same as the 3000W sticker on your Goodmans stereo.
Real world starter motor currents are closer to 100A, and normally at least some of that will be able to come from the vehicle's own battery.
(* I'm ignoring inductance and reactance)

Ah cool. Thank you, I will maybe rebuy that one then!

Just another reminder that life in Singapore requires one to take the rough with the smooth.

Mine has been used to start a 1.6 vvti without a battery attached.
I was surprised.

Pretty sure you can only buy the van versions of these in the UK due to emissions.
Shame they couldn't tweek the engine as I always had a soft spot for the Jimny and thought they got it spot on with the body refresh....which is a rare thing for most manufacturers.

Odd as they can use the stellantis engines.
What is the difference between the car and the van? Can you buy the trim rear seats?
-
• #80063
It's about fleet CO2 average targets, which other manufacturers achieve by selling at least some EVs, and Suzuki sells zero. Vans have different rules.

suzuki seem to like mild hybrids.
i wanted to like the Swace we had as a hire car, it was very economical. but otherwise unappealing.
i guess you could say it was utilitarian. if we mainly used a car for journeys under an hour, it would be a reasonable choice. as it is, 90% of our journeys are 90 mins plus.

A question for experienced car owners. My car got a windscreen chip on a trip earlier this week, quick google said should be OK to drive home with it (wasn't massive by any means) so we did, was all fine when we got home but when I went to look at it today the chip has turned into a crack and clearly I don't want to drive with this. My insurance (admiral) includes windscreen repair/replace with a £115 excess for replacement. My question is really whether this will screw my insurance premium (just renewed last week, so assume a year before the impact is felt) or a chipped windscreen not treated like an accident by the algorithms? Also, was I wrong to drive even with a small chip?
Thanks!

don't know about the premium question but ime fine to drive with a windscreen chip so long as it doesn't obstruct vision.
i've had small chips repaired with the vacuum and glue method in the past, which has worked well.
Edit - just seen the pic - on the passenger side so ok to drive but it has gone past the repairable stage.

Windscreen claim wont affect your insurance premium

I had the Suzuki Swift, mild hybrid is a bit of a fetch, just a lithium battery under the front seat that gives a little assistance. They are nippy with the 3cyl turbocharged engine.
End of last year swapped for an Ignis, mild hybrid, wrongly I assumed it would be the same drive train. It isn't, it's a 4 cyl na, more sluggish and not as nippy as the swift, needs a lot more revs and isn't as economical.
I wrongly assumed that the under pins and electronics etc. would be the same across models. Nope, no adaptive cruise, trip computer is different, no heated or folding mirrors.
Two fully different vehicles. Not disappointed, just surprised. -

won't affect your premium. I've had 4 windscreen replacements in the past 6 years with Admiral...

I’m not the only stone magnet then. I once had 3 in a year! Not the same car though.

Only issue with windscreen replacement is that some PCP / lease contracts are sniffy about only using an OEM replacement.

Not a bad way to get about on a late summer evening. It was followed by one of those V8 vauxhall saloons, which seemed like an odd companion.

The most memorable one for me was on the M66 25 mins after buying the car. Massive stone off the back of a tipper, right on my eyeline. 🎯

Took the 997 out - got a mile down the road and looks like the high pressure fuel pump is gone - bring it back home in limp mode and looks like the front coolant pipes are leaking too!!! (The over engine ones have been replaced but not the front it would seem….)

The Swace isn't a mild hybrid, it's a rebadged Corolla.
Try Madhouse on the OKR. Worth calling.
