The fastest production car in the world...The 9ff GT9 has recently recorded a documented top speed of 409 kilometers per hour, or 254.1 mph, enough to knock the Bugatti Veyron down to third on the list of all time fastest production cars.
kinda, the Bugatti Veyron is limited to 253mph, who know how much faster it'll go once the limiter has been removed?
I saw Top Gear with James driving a Bugatti, he drove it pretty effortlessly as if it no problem to get to 253mph whether other car such as Ferrari, Lambo, etc. reacting 200mph would feel like the skin of the car is peeling off, shaking, etc.

- SSC Ultimate Aero TT - 411.76 km/h
**2. Bugatti Veyron - 400 km/h ** - Koenigsegg CCR - 388 km/h

- Ferrari Enzo - 355 km/h
- Porsche Carrera GT - 334 km/h
- McLaren Mercedes SLR - 334 km/h
- Lamborghini Murcielago - 330 km/h
Top Gear's James May managed to reach the Bugatti at 407km/h.

this is scary! a 1000bph Hennessey with a power to weight ratio of just 2.7 lbs per bhp !
Hennessey estimates that the Venom GT could attain 0 to 60 mph times in less than 2.5 sec. and a 0-186 mph time of around 14 seconds
can you image that speed in such a light body? suicide?

To be honest, I just rely on the Top Gear thing for which car is fastest. Who cares are Stigless times on an airfield?
I love top gear, my fav show, but not everything Jeremy says is always 100% accurate, at least in my opinion

Want a faster car? the British hand-made Bristol Fighter T have over 1,000bhp and according to Bristol;
- A potential maximum speed of more than 270 mph has been electronically limited to a more than sufficient 225 mph at only 4500 rpm.
quite clearly the Underdog, when will they hurry up and test out the maxmium top speed of the Bristol Fighter T?

Like this..
"Do not cruise through red lights. Because if I’m coming the other way, I will run you down, for fun and do not pull up at junctions in front of a line of traffic. Because if I’m behind you, I will set off at normal speed and you will be crushed under my wheels."
I like TG but Clarkson is a fucktard of the highest order.

Ah, but in his defence JC probably hasn't been able to get it up since about the same time that the clothes he wears were considered stylish.

I must protest, your bikes clearly have no place in a car thread, I demand you remove them or I will have to send you hate mail... quick now... :p

/attachments/3917 I must be out of touch with cars somewhat, last time I checked this was the fastest production car in the world? I think it still holds the record for the quickest 0-60-0 mph.

I've always had a dream to rent one of these (at exhorbitant prices I'm sure) and to cruise around the Almafi coast in one, just like the opening scenes from the original Italian Job. I would wear a Saville Row suit, and exquisite sun glasses, and have some Andy Williams on the stereo (or something 'easy').
All of the rest is easy to find... just need to find someone who will rent me one of those Merc's.
Though, I could probably settle for an old Maserati, or Alfa.

it's a worthy dream, and i don't think it'd be that hard to rent the car. plenty of classic car rental firms about.
