  • The Audi A2 has always appealed...is this a realistic proposition in terms of reliability? I drive a handful of times a week but need it to start. I know there's love for them here, but they are now 20 year old vehicles.

The diesel is the one to have. Mine is sold now, the acquisition of the campervan forced the sale really.
Buy a sorted one, all the problems are usual VAG, central locking, microswitch wiring and rusting lower suspension. And the D word

  • Dashcams, what do we think?

I'm looking at the Vantrue N4, good price, lots of features, what else should I be looking at?

  • Had a good chat with the owner of this lovely 1972 Alfa Romeo Berlina earlier today

  • Such a beautiful, svelte Italian 3-box design. Perfect colour too.

  • Talking of 3-boxes, clocked this immaculate 1980 Toyota Crown 2.8 straight-six the other day.

  • Wonder if those more in the know about cars can advise me on something...

My car (2019 Honda Jazz) has no jack or spare wheel. I'd like to get one for it. The tyres are 185/60/R15. I'm looking on ebay and can see a spacesaver wheel that's listed as being for the Jazz but it's a 125/70/R15, so that's narrower but higher profile?

It's a 4 bolt wheel I need but are there multiple spacings? There's a wheel and jack kit for a Fiesta, looks like it'd work and would be cheaper than buying stuff separately but realise the bcd might be different?

  • Looks like Honda Jazz wheel bolt pattern is 4x100. Think of it like BCD on a chainring.
Re: Ford Fiesta bolt pattern, you'll need to check which model/era it relates to :)

Don't forget a tyre wrench, preferably one with an extendable handle.

  • That space saver does not sound right to me - its a long way off the circumference of your standard wheels. I would expect something nearer to 135/80R15.

You can use a site like https://tiresize.com/comparison/ to check for how different sizes compare. Within about 2% (circumference) is usually thought to be OK.

  • that is superb too. was admiring one of these at anglia car auctions a couple of years ago.

  • There's two jazz owner's clubs on Facebook. Someone will be able to provide the answer.

  • Don’t know why I didn’t think to just Google it, of course the bcds for different cars is out there!

  • That’s handy cheers.

  • A few snaps of my trip in central Europe. Safe to say I have a very soft spot for Volkswagen LTs.

  • They park seriously close to the canals over there..!

  • I was just going to comment on how that roofbox is backwards and can't be helping the aerodynamics... then I looked at the rest of the vehicle it was on and told myself to shut up.

  • Need!🤣

  • I have got a lot of time for that VW

  • Nice, love that black dodge with steel rims.
Keep a lookout for a Silver Citroen DS with full webasto sunroof - sold it to a guy in Maine (although must be a big place and not even sure your there!) so you may see it driving around

  • Some sort of Beetle prototype is my best guess

  • Maine is larger than Scotland. May get lucky though. :)

  • Wafting around the back roads in this with my son and my elderly parents in the back.

I have to say, really, really good car.

  • the college minibus when i was a student was a VW LT35 the engine sounded really sweet like a V6 or V8, made such a nice growly noise, 2nd gear was wonderful tons of torque and could pull right the way through the rev range. often thought about getting the engine in one of those put into a car, which almost certainly was a stupid idea but seemed like a good idea at the time
