Guessing people will have seen the hype for the latest Hoonigan Electric Audi. Not sure about the soundtrack.

Going to give his build thread a read later.
Very hard to value something like that. Looks like there is a lot of hours that have gone into it but no idea whether 12k is good or bad value.

The problem with buying other people's modified cars is that they are rarely exactly what you want and you never know how well the modification and engineering was done.
You also miss out the ownership of creating your own thing, which is really the only reason to mod anyway.
Either way, the Volvo looks fun and well built. Wheels are wrong though.

Yeah, wheels would have to change, either Volvo steels or BBS LM’s I think.
The guy said in his RR thread that he wanted £10k for it, but that was before he did more work to it. I’d have it inspected before making an offer.

Mine arrived with pressure around 50-52!
lol wtf

They all do. I think it's to stop flat spots during shipping as they're built in China and boated over.
Tyre are all filled with noise reducing foam which can cause issues when left to sit under-inflated for 6 weeks.

You swines. I live just round the corner from this car and have been torturing myself looking at the listing daily. I definitely don't have the money, but would half considering selling one of my motorbikes to fund this if I had a garage (big enough).

long way away from anything like a deal at the moment. Craig from Dynotorque has agreed to come to look at it, but we'd really need a ramp or a lift, which I'm uncertain we'd have access to.
Being so heavily modified (and not by me) I'd want it inspected and signed off by the person who was going to look after it going forward.

Ah nice. Didn't realise you were considering it, personally something like this is so much more appealing than your 'standard' £10k performance car. I can't help with a ramp unfortunately, but can help with caffeinated beverages or finding a local place that would let you use their facilities for inspection. Just shout if needed.

Thanks, appreciate that.

• #72792
Ha, holy shit, you’re actually considering it?
Do eeeeet! -
• #72793
Well, the risk is I buy it for (say) 10k, put 10k into it, then sell it for 5k.
Put that way, a 25k E39 M5 looks like a much more sensible proposition.
-
• #72794
Fuck the e39.
I’ll definitely give you £5001 for the Volvo too ;) -
• #72795
That would be the mini-tubbed, 700bhp Volvo that lifts a front wheel from the lights?
-
• #72796
You said you risked selling it on later for £5k, just thought I’d get my first bid in at that price ;)

Sandy is 20 miles from my house. Test drive it here, pop it on my lift.
All I ask for in return is a go.

Good wheels those I just sold a set and was very impressed with them.
Steels would be ace as they look great on everything. I like LM's but there are better more unique wheels out there instead though.

Had them on my MX5 and again was impressed. Saw some previous pics of the car on a silver set, so may have been sprayed gold at a later date.

Now that sounds like a plan - your lift hirsute enough for a 90's Volvo?
