When i had mine/ours it was our daily , and it quickly became apparent it was fucking useless if you wanted to take anybody anywhere or carry anything.
I took it to the deaership for service one day and saw a 695 comptizione they had for sale with the rear seat delete.
Phoned wifey to say i was buying something with more boot space ....
Ended up with another Giulietta............ -

And i'm pretty sure my Abarth is a whole lot more fun to drive.
There's also that overall ropeiness of the interiors that you get with cars of that era. In pictures some have dated really well, but I can't believe that in the flesh they feel anything but thin and rattley.

I'm pretty sure that this will soon be a two seater (that can be converted to a five seater upon occasion).

Oh yeah.... the rear seats are 100% useless for anything other that the two small dogs i have. I would totally get rid of them, but I have the disco for hauling crap, and imagine it would knock the resale price pretty badly i think!
Am having shoulder surgery on Tuesday, and won’t be able to drive for at least a month. I should probably think about getting it cleaned whilst I’m able….

That's proper grubby.
The rear seats in my GTV make the Abarth look like a people carrier. -

Nice.
And you will never sell it.

:D I hardly ever sell cars I drive them until they die, forty years of motoring,
Twelve cars owned
Three cars sold

Bombadrone is loud...second hand Monzas (quad pipe from Comp) go pretty cheaply. Or go back to standard?

I’ve had a bike in the back of mine! Both wheels off though.

Nah, it doesn’t bother me enough to do anything about it. I’ve come to terms with it now. my dogs get freaked out by it though, and my partner calls me an exhaust wanker. Which is amusing more than anything.

I’ve had a few landrovers over the years and wasn’t familiar with the Kingsley plaque.
It turns out it’s a restoration company in Oxford … spends but beautifully donehttps://www.kingsleycars.co.uk/models/kingsley-range-rover-classic-restomod/

They did have that option at first. Early 70s models come with a crank handle.
That’s a Kingsley restomod with a late 80s bodyshell. Not sure if it’s the chassis or just the registration number that’s 1970.
But it’s sublime and I want one. -

I gave their website a good coat of looking at and I think it’s not worth enquiring unless you have a spare £100k.
Fantastic though , if you are a soul that has that sort of change for a classic , I’m sure you’d lose less then spending £100k on a new one, and you’d own a very capable car (if you chose the ‘modernised’ version ), a car that folk stop to take time to enjoy -

Plus at 1970 it may be London compliant

a good friend of mine had one of these and I borrowed it from time to time. such a fun car. though some kids shouted Mr Bean at me once. that hurt. that really hurt.

Kingsley did a press blitz on this exact car on Ulez expansion day.
Although I saw a load of Range Rover nerds on one of the car forums who reckoned it had so many 1980s and later bits on it it shouldn't have a 1970s plate.
& @Nef Thank you :)
@lynx same one that came out the M30 b3.5 which I am rebuilding, the Cylinder head is being ported for a fast road cm as we speak at Hack Engineering :D
