Double spoiler, intense lights, gundam-esque unfolding, rear engined - what's not to love?!

I just can't warm to Ken Block.
Agree, i can't get on with him either.

Didn't know that Audi officially built a group S car. By officially the rally team built the car with permission or knowledge. Though the Audi was a group B development, to make the quattro mid engined to beat the other mid engined 205 and S4. When Audi/vw people learnt about the quatro the project was ended.
There are a couple of pictures of what looks like an S1 Quattro in existence but it's a mid engined test car pre-group S. The guy at the Audi museum suggests that it no longer exists

Admire how the rally team found the budget and built the car with no one higher up officially knowing. Then the vehicle was tested in the old eastern block so fewer people would know about it.

Apparently I have a third car- anyone know what and where it is?

Oh stop it. Don't feed the trolls!

Right, heading out to find fuel.

I just assumed that I hadn't been paying enough attention.
Not seen any petrol around here for well over a week. Luckily don't need to go anywhere right now.

You’ve got fuel. But can you get hold of a key battery?!

I have one stuck to the front of my boiler, but lazy.

Right, for the run up to bed time- what pair of van and EV can I get for roughly what WBAC will give me for the (now fuelled up) estate?

That is SO cool. I love a bit of Group B action.
Means I have to post this for about the 5th time. Still makes me go woooooooooah....

Shitty old Transit and a Nissan Leaf. Spunk the rest on coke'n'midgets.

Does your mindset really allow for an older van? Or is something a bit rough ok?

Continuing the group S wtf....This is what happens when Mazda Belgium/Europe have a spare triple rotor le Mans engine ;) Well developing a Group S car like no road going car in the mazda range.
Looks like a cheap kit car...especially un liveried.
Tiny engine and dual shocks. At a guess one does rebound and the other for compression.

I wanted a new van because I wanted to minimise the chances of anything going wrong with it.
Also, second hand campers are £!, to the extent that (as the gap to new is so small) I struggle with the price a little.
But, you can't buy a new vehicle these days, so the question is what can I get now that I can then dick around with?

Buy a newish commercial Sprinter that's been used for something light duty and delivery-ish in nature (cardboard box delivery or carpet or something...) c. £12,000
Also; choose the biggest, longest, highest roofed one you can find... it's going to be a pain in the tits to park it places one way or the other so you might as well have one you can comfortably stand up inside and frollick with ease within.
Then fit out interior to your desires by plying handy forumengers with tea and sandwiches to carry out the works... c. £4,000
As for the EV I rather fancy an i3 with or without the range extender for the money... I hate BMW as a rule but they're quirky and I like the characterful looks... c. £12,000

That’s mental - especially the last minute. It does show how dangerous these cars are when the roads are lined with spectators though. One mistake and it’s not good.

See my comment of the Rally of Portugal and the end of group B.
I'm not linking to any of the videos.

I’ve seen them. I know the reasons of the cancellation of Group B too. It’s to your credit that you don’t post links.

Would now be a good time to say I filled up with premium diesel at €0.99 a litre?
It was from a supermarket...
-
• #67474
Um, yes! Could you post me some, I will even pay postage. £1.39 a litre here - last week. I am refuelling tomorrow.

Where did you find the Super unleaded Dammit? I have been using E10 in the E30 but have some fuel additive on order to hopefully help in the mean time :)
As an AW11 fan I agree with you.
But part of me has a lot of love for the lada
