  • Apparently everything that ever happens on any street is a ruse deployed to case out houses for robberies.

haha, local facebook group had a post about a 'suspicious' banana skin left on somebody's front garden wall. Apparently they were going to be burgled the next day.

  • Also, “cat spotted in garden, polite request to owner to stop cat coming in our garden please” is a regular post.

Best one on our old local Facebook was seeking out a cat owner to pay for a broken vase or something the cat had knocked over upon gaining entry to stranger's house. No one came forward, oddly.

  • Swings and roundabouts.

I hate Facebook but has been very useful to see when pumps are refuelled.

    Go!!!

  • OK.

I'll check out FB. Never go one except to occasionally look at market place, and fucking detest the place.

The on board computer says 295 miles to go. So I may be being unduly cautious. But I always feel the last ¼ drops much faster than the other three. Plus my OH gets super stressed being in the car with the kids and anything less than ⅓, which rational or not, just is what it is.

  • Thanks be given up driving the estate until I can reliably get fuel again.

  • Is there any idea when the petrol panic will finish or is this going to be another loo roll situation?

  • Hopefully continues for ages as the roads are definitely quieter away from the petrol station queues

Didn't @BRM have an encounter with a strange guy putting magnets on bikes? Like WAAAY BITD. I think we all arrived at the same conclusion. Deffo sketchy and a sign to his bike thief cohorts.

  • Diesel or petrol?

I’ve been pleasantly surprised with getting 50mpg out of our 2L turbo petrol seat over distance. Actually higher than the official figure!
Around town it’s more like 38mpg and somewhere in between the two if you have a heavy foot and do some ‘driving’.

  • Took the 996 in for some work today, 75,300 miles on the clock mean that I've done 600 miles since last October, or 1.5 tanks of fuel.

  • £ per mile?

  • High.

  • I got a tank of fuel in the 130i but as it was the middle of the day and a bit rainy I then went and hooned round the countryside for 45 minutes and I haven’t felt so happy in weeks.

  • Good question what’s spline?

  • Fuck. Reckon I might just be been done doing 55 in a 50 by a mobile camera. Fuck.

  • Crossing my fingers for you

  • 55 on your Speedo or 55 on your Satnav/Waze?

55 on your speedo you’ll be fine

  • I was done for doing 36 in a 30 previously (mobile camera right after it went from 40 to 30, they had me bang to rights, but still annoying).
Fingers crossed but I could have easily been doing 57/8 on my Speedo when I was in range of the camera. After driving a shit Vauxhall vivaro van all day that does almost nothing with your foot on the accelerator, I easily drifted over the limit downhill in 6th in the e46. Just wasn’t paying attention doing the same as the car in front. Arghhgh!!
Annoyingly I’ve just checked and my last one was 2.5 years ago, and you’re only allowed to do a speed awareness course once every 3 years, fucksticks.

  • Petrol.

I think a large part is the number of uphill sections on the way to nursery.

Our average driving cover each type of road pretty equally - town, country, fast A/motorway.

  • Luckily it didn’t climb on mouldy curtains or messed around with the fridge magnets.

  • This is for sale and might be the best bodywise of it's turbo gti type

  • Oh wow that’s amazing, love it!

  • That looks plush AF inside.
