in other news due to the petrol sitch I was very close to having carsit my big brothers new Alfa Romeo Brera for a month. annoyingly one station took fuel delivery this morning so he was able to get away in it. it's a nice looking car and glad to see he got rid of his Audi and back in to the more interesting world of Alfas

We almost pulled the trigger on a nice looking black Giulietta recently, but after seeing the CT failure list we decided against it.

Now we've bought this natty little Citroen DS3 instead, in basically mint condition.

Cars that look good with gold wheels:

1. Darker blue ones - Subarus Imprezza, Clio Williams, Lancia Stratos, etc
   
2. Red ones - Lamborghini Miura if it also has gold sills, Lancia Stratos again. The occasional Ferrari BB512
   
   

I think the key is to have a fair bit of tyre sidewall, or it just looks wrong.

Based on my extensive 10 minute Google images research I think red and blue is basically the rule. Black is never good. Even, much as it pains me to say it, on this JPS Lotus Esprit:

It would just look better with silver wheels.

Surely black as well? The John Player Special look.

Subaru used to do it right. The 2022/3 WRX is a monstrosity. Even though I approve of the longer travel suspension.

Oh we’ll just put this bolt here. Yeah don’t worry about access no one will ever need to undo them. Plebs who design cars are dicks. Why not make it easier to maintain.
