Ha, love it. That Tower Porsche garage is behind my work, Druid street is always lined with vintage 911s, 356s and modern exotica. Nice bit of eye candy for the stroll to London Bridge.

Meh, I now want a 1972 Porsche, possibly a 914.
-

Buy my camper, it's got a 914 engine.

£?

And is it tax exempt?
-

Nah, 1976, and it's a VW spec 2.0 type 4, think the heads are more economy tuned than the Porsche spec.
'Tis a beaut though, OG paint, never been welded, looking for 12k.

Looks great- promised that any second car would be tax exempt though, and also a lot less expensive than your fine bus!
I could do with a recommendation actually- not car but coffee machine, as when I put the kitchen in I'd like to put in a plumbed in machine.
What's a decent mix of price and performance, and critically can be picked up second hand for peanuts?

VWs are so over. It's all about Commer campers done up to look like Renault 8 Gordinis

Go and see the jag in the flesh, there was one at gaydon (the national motor history mueseum) last time I went.
Talking of which there is a lovely black Jaguar XJ you can win in the Royal Exchange at the moment. Fucking gorgeous car.

Tony Ponds record gone after 21 years.
New record 113mph. -

New record 113mph.I don't like the belittling tone of the Pirelli guy. Pond's record might have been on slicks, but it was unbeaten for 21 years and done with a car which was, frankly, crap.
It took something as sophisticated as a Subaru WRX STI to beat it.

Those are huge wheels for an Amazon

I agree, my dad had the rover for a few hours after the original record was set and will confirm that it truly was a pig of the highest order.
To get it round the course at 80 would have been an achievement but over 100, mad skillz. -

19's, they are a little on the large side:

Aww, hell it's got me watching the video again. It's a cool film
TT Challenge - YouTube
No way is that a standard car though. 827s didn't do anything like 150mph, or sound like that.

They have also made the course faster in some key places.

'...and if we get the line totally correct, we're gonna hear the stones bounce off the car...'
That would be a flint wall.

^ Want. If there was space under the bonnet for it that is...
This went up on Pistonheads today.
Some London based guy made a vid to sell his Targa. Pretty good stuff.
