Did you use chassis design software? Or all from your head?

Today I figured out where the control for changing the timing on my intermittent wipers was... A fantastic day...

Flat battery. Thinking of getting a mains charger rather than having to rely on bump/jump. Don't have a second car so need to rely on neighbours.
Which one off of Amazon should I get?
-
• #61455
Are you in London? But I'd get one of those liion battery jumper packs.
The lidl/aldi charger is great for the price.

NOCO Genius Boost look very nifty and you can charge it up and keep it in the car?

Why not look up formula student
Great shout, one of Mrs Nahguavkire's mates actually did this in college so I'll bend her ear off on the subject at next opportunity!

no not in London, looking for something on next day delivery

• #61459
and, will i need to remove the battery or can be charged up in situ?

Thanks, it’s quite small but definitely deep. I might just conceal it with one of the pen things in the right colour and try to forget about it... First car so I’m annoyingly precious about it!

So I bought that Berlingo. Drives pretty well, although there are a couple of niggles I'll have to sort out as I have time/weather lets me (not least of all getting rid of the fucking smell of dogs in it). Knocked some money off the asking price and was thinking about using it to get a full service (although I'm also worried that will just result in bad news). Anyway, garages - much of a muchness or do people have reconsiderations?
Or should I just wait until August and get it done with the MOT?

A once over check cannot hurt, especially if the service history is a bit sporadic. Find a local specialist if you can.

Congrats, what did you get? What engine? What history have you got? Oil change, filter won't hurt and maybe air filter. Brake fluid replacement and examine the brakes at the same time..Maybe a gearbox oil change and check when the cambelt was last done.
Try and find a garage with the cit/pug obd software and not the generic as you can see what addons are not activated in the software ;)
The dog smell takes a while but sprinkling bicarb and brushing it to the seat and carpet, then vacuuming it out works well.

Got the 1.6 petrol multispace desire with 71k miles. No history beyond the mot. Apparently it was just an old guys car to get his dogs to the park (which, while likely to be a bs sorry, the smell helps it check out).
Was going to give the oil/filter change a go myself but it's so fucking cold. Maybe if I do that I can wait for the service until August when it needs to be MOT'd next.

You can get 'odour bombs', where you have to close the bomb in the car, set it off then run away...
Never used one, but sound intriguing.

Have you got the stuff to do the oil change? If not try national auto care if you have one nearby to see what they charge.
The cambelt is an 80k mile or 10 years (edit 5 years not 10)

Not including consumables, yes, it would appear so.

I'll try to look it over when I'm not hiding from the cold. It doesn't sound like it's failing (yet).

Was thinking oil tray, oil filter remover and some something to lie on to keep the cold out.
Think the top cambelt cover is only held on by two bolts so simple to check.

We use these from time to time to clear the smell of cannabis smoking from Enterprise cars. Never had to eradicate dog smell but would suggest a Wet 'n' Dry vacuum cleaner on all the material that may have soaked up canine juices.

You might need a special tool to change the oil filter (it's a weird plastic cover).
What colour did you get?
I have this model, 2005, Mediterranean Blue! -

We used normal engineering CAD, either creo or solidworks.

When we bought our run around Subaru it had rarely been cleaned and stank of the previous owners Jack Russels.
I vacuumed the shit out of it and then used one of those door grenades, left the engine running with the heater/blower on recirculate full chat. It worked really well! Although the scent from the grenade was pretty strong which improved in a few days

Discovered that the E63 does highly entertaining gruff barks when rev matching downshifts in Sport mode. Sounds like a bull snorting through its nostrils before charging.

Bit of a longshot...
Does anyone have a garage or unit with space for a car, in or around East London that I could rent periodically? Really miss having a driveway/garage that I can use when undertaking larger jobs on the car.
e.g. I have some uprated engine mounts in the cupboard awaiting fitment for months now - CBF laying under the car on a busy Hackney road.

Ah, really? I read it's a 27mm nut on the end of the cover. Was hoping one of my imperial sockets would fit well enough, or could just use a fuck off adjustable spanner.
What colour did you get?
It's silver. Guessing that was stock. Hopefully easy to get touchup paint fit!
Any Berlingo protips?! I've been going over the forum for bits and bobs but it's a bit of a mess. Lots of broken links and threads with no resolution.
Slightly more advanced than the trabant.
You'd have thought they would have used carbon fibre sheet is easier than fibreglass.
