  • A lot of people don't like the JDM side of street tuning.

I guess Rauh Welt is on the edge of acceptable wheel camber...

  • This
That's 38 years motoring for £5100 of purchase price :) the joys of buying old shitters in the motor trade and keeping them going. :D

    Is excellent
Probably had the most fun per £ spent and possibly the greenest way to run a car .. bangernomics

  • Amazing. I bet ‘married man’ kicked in at the C3!

  • Good to see another Scimitar in here!

  • How did you limit yourself? Getting to know people in parts departments meant that lots of trade ins and MOT failures trade ins came to us.

  • I used to be really into these but I think as I've gotten older the appeal has dulled a bit... I'm definitely happy they exist though and as far as excessive design goes I'm way more in favour of this than the more vulgar European stuff like Kahn or Hamann...

  • Have this.

  • So nice

  • Flat battery woes in my 2010 320d. Not driven it for 3+ weeks but have been foolishly opening doors to clean and get kids stuff out quite often so assume I’ve just drained the battery.

Tried to jump start with a neighbours car this morning but didn’t work and just clicked with the drained battery warning sometimes popping up.

Am going to borrow a trickle charger and hopefully that’ll work. How long do I need to charge it before attempting to start the car?

And if that doesn’t work I’m in for an expensive time as I let my breakdown cover has expired! Whoops

  • Have you got a multi meter?

  • Finally got around to using the GTechniq C4 permanent trim restorer on the tired looking bits of plastic on my Suby... Gotta say, it's done a brilliant job... Some areas were really sun damaged and grey, almost white in places, and now they're good as new... Recommended!

  • @ElephantBreathlynx Nope, I do not have one unfortunately.

  • Ah that would have been handy to check the voltage of the battery and see when the battery is charged when trickle charging. Don't suppose you are near wood green as I can drop one round to you. Help diagnose the battery.

  • Thanks @ElephantBreathlynx - I’m about 5 miles from Loch Lomond, Scotland so we’re a few miles apart 🙂.

I’ve got it trickle charging at 4amps - I’ll give it till about 8pm to see if I’ve got anything. Cheers!

  • Had something similar (aftermarket alarm/not driving the car) and think I ended up leaving a trickle charge on overnight and some. The times on pg.3 of the below might help/were what I used:

  • Looks nice! Is this the car you mentioned previously?

  • Managed to get it started and took it for a drive via Halford’s and picked up my own trickle charger - I’ll put it on for a full day tomorrow and hopefully sort it.

  • Yep, that's the one. I decided to take a leap of faith and have it delivered without viewing.

Can anyone suggest a paintless dent removal company that services East London? The Clio has it's fair share of parking dents on the drivers side and it really lets it down.

  • some good braaaap + sutututu today..

  • Looks like some kind of Toyota dash? GT4?

  • bingo! st185 gt4

  • Rad. Was it a Rallye drive day or your car? Also, sad that I recognise Toyota indicator stalks.

  • Don't remember who mentioned Urchfab when I requested advices on resoration or car shows similar to hombuilt by jeff or binky or retropower, I binged it over the last couple of weekends and it is absolutely stunning!!
