Internet diagnosis required...
2015 Audi A4 Avant, Quattro. Very high fuel consumption. On average using 14-15 litres per hundred kilometres (roughly 16mpg).
This is with normal driving, tyres at correct pressure and no roof racks. Even on a motorway trip it struggles to get 21 mpg.
It should be a lot better. I suspect a boost leak somewhere. Any other ideas? I have 9 months of warranty left so will be getting Audi to cover it but I need to be armed with information.

I’ve just totally forgotten the name of them, but my money is on the sensor that sits in the exhaust just behind the cat and controls primary fuel trim.

Going for a white car this time.
I guess actively choosing white means you're probably not Casey Liss.

Thanks! Could be. Would also (maybe) explain the sulphurous stink on a regular basis. Maybe a cat issue too.

My Suby has been back to the place I got it twice now... Intermittent ignition fault where the key won't come out, guy thought he had fixed it yesterday but it did it again when I got home from the garage, pretty bloody annoying... I've also been detecting a slightly sweet, toasty smell in the car, mechanic thought it was coolant, no visible leeks anywhere in the very clean engine bay (looks brand spankers!) so also a bit of a mystery...
I think the auction place will have to send it to a specialist Suby garage... Not getting much joy from them...

Turn the heat on in the car, if smell gets stronger it may indicate a heater matrix leak.... Not sure if this is a thing in Subaru though.
The key getting stuck in the ignition isn't just the steering lock being engaged? As on if you turn the wheel with the key in ignition it locks the steering and makes it locks the key?

Boom! Super lightweight flywheel & clutch fitted to a pornographic alloy backplate (painted, as it is naughty) and then buttoned up.
Tomorrow is the big day.

Get audi to check the ecu software is the latest, if it has been overfueling for a long time the cat could be fucked.
