I’d fucking kill for a V4S. Zero to very fucking illegal miles per hour in no time.

For the Legacy? I have some 5x100 17" alloys that came with my Outback that need a refurb. You're welcome to have them very cheap but would need picking up from Herts. If you're interested let me know.

piper cub?

Wow - they're all yellow. Why would you make them all in yellow?

Also a very strong choice. I'd love to learn to fly. I've deliberately not taken a lesson as although they're a lot cheaper here, I definitely can't afford another expensive hobby....
There's a school that flies out of Santa Monica airport, up the coast to Ventura and back for two hundred bucks or so. Up the COAST. Gah....

I quite like Richie’s suggestion that I race an old 911 next year
-

I am aligned with this viewpoint but in my experience you’d definitely want to own something you’re racing outright - I know several people who financed race / rally cars and destroyed them and then continued paying them off for five years. Most competition insurance is only third party, although it might be better for cash flow if you financed the car and spent the premium on fully comp insurance with an agreed value if wrecked

Yarp, it’s cheaper so I wouldn’t use car finance. Probably a 3% loan and cash on hand.

Engine's in the right place, it's yellow and it leaves plenty of money for tires, fuel and entrance fees...

Yellow 911 still winning.

For racing? Would need a bit of work such as fuel cell and plumbed in fire extinguisher.

Fiat are famous for great city cars, do you think the change is a good thing?
Maybe less journeys by city car more by public transport and cycling?

Yes, for the Legacy. I had my summer wheels refurbed at great cost and want to keep them pristine as much as possible.
Thanks for the offer however I am really after some wheels that don't need a refurb ideally. -

Dammit, can you do a silly engine swap in a small car like a BMW 2002 please?
I'm with Jambon - keep the 911 Cab and drop 25k on a Panigale V4S. 200+ donkies, Ohlins gold, fire engine red and every conceivable electronic doodah to keep it on the island. No car under 250k is going to deliver comparable scare / pose factor.
