people fuck about with the headlights on the chimeras, too (presumably after they have been stuffed into telephone poles).

There is a euro car parts near me and it was only £6. Could easily swap it for a Fram/Bosch or Mann one before I do it or shall I just look out for a TPS one next time?

Volks Ray TE37- what is the hive minds view?
-

Great wheel but still think a set of BBS would be the way to go on a 996. Either CH, LM's or E88's.

More so because the standard headlights are pretty shit. The quad headlight conversions meant using a more modern headlight unit which was way brighter. Still think the big headlights made for a prettier car though.

Those are all certainly more classic 911 wheels- but, I went to a Porsche event at the weekend and the most popular wheel was the Carrera five spoke. Guess what wheels I have?
Thinking the TE37 would be a more unusual sight, plus LM strong at E88 weight.

Crossland used to be a good brand made in Nottingham, but the brand name was sold off to Euro Car parts. ECP get the parts made from the cheapest supplier.

Someone near me’s got a black T350, looks very exotic nestle among the Audis and mini clubmans (clubmen?)

Not really true. The chassis on certain ages of cars do tend to rust if not treated and looked after on a regular basis but the body on frame construction means that the repairs are reasonably easy and the cost is low enough that it doesn't write off cars.
The powdercoat issue was only a real problem on cars built on the mid-latter part of the 90's.

Nice. T350's are a rare car with less than 500 built of all varieties between 2002-2006.

Chimera
You're right.
Pretty much that age too, but that super dark blue colour they used to do. The 90s orgainic interior lines have aged much better than anything else I can think of.

There’s a Wheeler Dealers where they do just that

Yeah definitely more wrapped around lampposts / hedges. My old neighbor accounted for two of them. My mate’s brother-in-law another - he stuffed it in a motorway wall after loosing it in a straight line in the pissing rain. Very lucky to survive. (I think he had a speed 6)
Great cars though.

Such a good looking car....

That Count Rossi road-legal 917 that’s doing the rounds on social meeds is pure spunkatronic, want to marry the back wheels

I"m biased because they've been the main part of my interest and love for all things automotive but whilst, they have their faults like any car does, I do think they are one of the great British car brands. Just a shame it's taking so long to resurrect them. I'm glad I was involved with them during the most successful and exciting part of the brand's history.

I might have to do a quick Photoshop job to see those te37's on a Porsche. Down here it's the wheel of choice for gtr's, 86's, Evo's, STI's etc... Basically the go to wheel for Japanese cars.

Can't really blame them. They make everything sit right.

Yes. TE the fucking the world.
Like that really old meme, Guile's theme goes with everything, TE37s go with everything.

Off to Dorset for a family holiday at the end of the month. Taking road bike but can't be arsed training it with a week's worth of luggage.
Any recommendations beyond the usual for a 7-day hire? Mileage shouldn't be an issue cos I don't expect to be doing much between driving there and back. Enterprise looks like £180 for something Focus-ish.

Many years ago a mate of mine lent me his Chimera for the weekend. Dumped all the coolant from a catastrophic radiator failure early on day 2
Maybe a Chimera? They never did a convertible Cerbera, but the Chim has a similar front and rear end to a Cerbera.
