Quadruple check it's the right one but it's £62 for the HAAS on carparts4less.co.uk
I'm not sure who makes the OEM unit, HAAS, HELLA or Delphi but the HAAS will be good enough.

They've got a discount code PAYDAY too for a further 15% off. I think.

So this tempramental little bastard will need to go back to the garage to get the oil sensor replaced.
Hope to God that is all. I suspect it won't be.

What bit was corroded?
It is the main dealer and I call bollocks.

Thanks @NurseHolliday.
Not sure which but is corroded. Car is back outside the flat. I’ll take a look at the weekend. If nothing is corroded then I still have a problem as the car was apparently juddering and spluttering and occasionally flashing the check engine light.

Does anyone use or used a tow bar mounted bike rack?
Looking to probably buy one that can carry two bikes (Enduro Mtbs so needs 15kg pee bike limit).
Any recommendations?

The one I got off Mikey was really good, it's one of these:
You'll know full well that it's not working as it should now but it lasted a good number of years before it's got a bit shagged so I still think at £55 it's the one to get. It's quick, easy, and compact when folded so you can just stick it in the boot at all times in case of a bike related emergency.

Hmmm, think I’d rather one that the bikes sit on rather than hang from. Bikes can lock in them for cafe stops and the like unlike that style.
Most also now tilt so I can still get in the boot. -

Also I now haz big bike shed so storage isn’t an issue

A yeah that was the bonus of the E39 wagon, the window was an extra hatch so you could still get in the boot.
I got a different one from @Dammit with the Volvo that's the type you're talking about, I've used it a couple of times, would recommend it, but I did prefer the other one I linked.
I'll have a gander in the garage, or maybe @Dammit can remember which rack it is off the top of his head.

In other news, turns out you can still get a new Lada Riva, €12k for a classic. Bangin.

Does anyone use or used a tow bar mounted bike rack?
I used to have a Thule Ride-On 3. It was most excellent.
Superfastaudiwankerbarge doesn't have a tow bar, and can't have one fitted, so I'm back to roof bars, which are not most excellent.

I was going to go down the roof bar route but about a month ago I saw some prick in a superfastaudiwankerbarge forget about the bikes on the roof when pulling into Bridgwater services... clattered the bikes on the height warning sign and ripped them and the rack off the roof, fucking the bikes, rack and the roof of the superfastaudiwankerbarge.
Although I did lol, I was also a bit concerned about my lack of memory and doing the same.I also picked up a tow bar for peanuts and getting it fitted for a song too :winning:

Yep, that's the risk with the roof bars. It's something I get occasionally nervous about, given that I live just by the most-driven-into rail bridge in the country which is rather low but which I'm used to driving under without bikes on the top.
Given the choice, the tow-bar mounted option is much, much better.

For convenience I’m actually in the roof mounted camp.

I have discovered the existence of the V60 Polestar and I am slightly in love.
May have found my ULEZ compliant car.

VXR Meriva!! I'm sure I saw one a few months ago, I did a little Lol, then secretly wondered what it would be like
Euro car parts?
Or any backstreet tyre and exhaust place would have some to sell you.
